This thread is for those who like riddles and brain-teasers. Post your favourite ones here (preferably, based on the Bible). Posters can attempt at answering the riddles or asking a new one on their own. It is better to ask one riddle per post so that people are not overwhelmed with questions. Make sure you answer the riddle when you post later. ;)

The only rule for this thread is that using Google or other means to search for the answers is strictly forbidden. Violators will be hunted down by the Lynx and the bear. :p

-------

I'll go first. Here's a simple one.

Question: Where is the first tennis match played, in the Bible?

If I remember correctly... The answer has to do with Joseph serving in Pharaoh's court....

Pssssht! The lynx will be the first one to hit Google. My curiosity is to great to leave a question sitting unanswered. (You do know about felines and curiosity, right?) :p But I won't post the answer here and ruin it for everyone else.

Yep, when Joseph served in the courts of Pharaoh. :D

Solomon's temple was located on the side of his forehead, above the temporal bone. :p

Thou art forbidden from Googling the answer. Thou canst post thy guess for everyone to see.

You answered the Solomon's Temple riddle and left us riddle-less. Thus I must step up to the plate and deliver the next pitch.

Where in the Bible does it talk about smoking?

Where in the Bible does it talk about constipation?

Where in the Bible does it talk about cars?

Where ELSE in the Bible does it talk about cars?

Name the other places besides those in the Bible where it talks about cars... there's a lot of them.

I'll be back after w*rk (that's a four letter word you know) and see if any answers are required.

One of the spots is when Christ points out His dissatisfaction with Honda, when He tells the Pharisees that He will not "speak of [His] own Accord." The other spot, I think, is in Acts 2, when the Apostles were "all in one Accord," which sounds like a circus act. If it were an Odyssey, that would have made more sense.

Shouryu wins!

Where in the Bible does it talk about smoking?
When Isaiah lit off a camel.
Where in the Bible does it talk about constipation?
Where Moses took two tablets and went up on the mountain.
And King David sat on the "throne" for forty years.
And there's all the trouble Balaam had with his... well... you know.

Where in the Bible does it talk about cars?
What Roh_Chris said. Specifically it talked about a vintage Plymouth, as God drove them out in His Fury.
Where ELSE in the Bible does it talk about cars?
What Shouryu said. Jesus wouldn't speak of His own Accord, but later all the disciples were in it.
Name the other places besides those in the Bible where it talks about cars... there's a lot of them.
Oh there's a bunch of them... in Psalm 83, God apparently owned a Pontiac and a Geo. The passage urges the Lord to "pursue your enemies with your Tempest and terrify them with your Storm," though I'm not sure how a Geo Storm could be considered terrifying, unless it had those scary shooting flames painted on the sides. In another scripture God seems to favor Dodge trucks, as the Israelites are warned not to approach the mountain until "the Ram's horn sounds a long blast." God also owned an AMC, which He used in a military operation when He said He would "send the Hornet ahead of you to drive the Hivites, Canaanites and Hittites out of your way." And Moses seems to have owned an antique motorcycle... one with a bad muffler, as "the roar of Moses' Triumph is heard in the hills."

The names of sixteen books of the English Bible are hidden in the text of the following paragraph. Can you find all sixteen of them?

I once made a remark about the hidden books of the Bible. It was a lulu. Kept people looking so hard for facts and for others it was a revelation. Some were in a jam, especially since the names of the books were not capitalized. But the truth finally struck home to numbers of readers. To others, it was a real job. We want it to be a most fascinating few moments for you. Yes, there will be some really easy ones to spot. Others may require judges to help them. I will quickly admit it usually takes a minister to find one of them, and there will be loud lamentations when it is found. One little lady says she brews a cup of tea, so she can concentrate better. See how well you can compete.* Relax now for there are really sixteen names of books of the Bible in this story.

Sp. = Psalms (in reverse & abbreviation)
Judges
