lol good one sharp. I used to try to talk to them but now I just ask them to leave. First I ask why are they there during the day when the husbands arent home? then I say take your pamphlet and leave, you can come back when you see the duramax in the driveway, means my husband's home. I tried once to share the good news of Jesus with them but it is a waste of breath & I should not entertain the imposter until I'm adequately versed in the word to ward off their attack. I also asked them why would they be inviting me to a memorial service for a risen Lord?

HEY!!
WHO ARE THIS JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES ACTUALLY?ARE THEY A PART OF CHRISTIANITY?.PEOPLE SAY THAT THEY ARE AGAINST CHRISTIANS,IS IT SO?
WHY ARE PEOPLE AFRAID OF THEM.MANY SAY THAT THEY DON'T BELIEVE IN BIBLE IS IT TRUE?

From what I learned from studying them they operate using cult like rules and regulation. Very strict guidelines that prevent them from questioning anything they are taught by their peers or getting involved in activities outside of their organization. This is a form of mind control you see in many cults in history. You limit their knowledge of the outside world and fill their heads with propaganda.

Many have stated that all religions do this; but, if you have been a part of a main stream religion for any amount of time you will know this simply isn't true. I often look for knowledge that can be obtained outside of scripture and even encourage it. If you live base your entire view of the world around that one book, you are going to live in a very tiny bubble.

One way the Elder JW use to keep their followers in check was by attempting to predict the dates of events in the bible. After failing to achieve a single prediction numerous times they were forced to change their doctrine in order to keep the followers from questioning the validity of their religion.

It's a hack branch or twig of Christianity and should definitely be avoided if you do not enjoy being manipulated. They take much of the bible way out of context and interpret it all in literal means. It's actually kind of creepy if you think about that. They do not believe in hell or an after life in the sense that most Christians understand it. Instead, when you die, you go into a state of nonexistence; until Christ returns then everyone will rise from the dead and live in a paradise version of Earth. Only 144,000 people actually go to heaven at some point in the middle of all that.

It's as far from conventional Christian theology as the LDS.

I don’t know much about the “Witnesses.” They do carry Bibles around, I think, though I don’t know what version they use. They seem fairly normal to me.

JWs profess that Jesus is a created being, simply put they believe Jesus is not God but a god.
1. They deny the deity of Christ
2. They deny the existence of the Trinity
They hold other writings in higher regard than the Bible. They are very dangerous, they need to know the truth about Jesus.

I was born and raised a JW and can tell you just about anything you want to know. But seeing how Easter is almost here, this is what they believe about Easter.....it's pagan and a great sin to celebrate Easter. The celebration of Easter is of pagan origin, (which cannot be denied), so they use this as a rule that they and only they are truly following the bible and everyone else is pray to Satan the devil through false religion.

As far as passover meal goes, they refuse to partake of the passover meal. The believe the passover meal of Jesus's blood and the new covenant only applies to the 144k JW's. Which logicaly means that Jesus did not die for them, however they will contradict themselves because they say they believe Jesus died for everyone, yet only died for the 144k jw's.

They do not celebrate the resurrection. They believe celebrating the resurrection is a great sin as well. They believe that Jesus did not have any physical attributes after being resurrected, he was fully a spirit. They use this very weak logic to confirm that Jesus rose spiritually just so the 144k can rise spiritually.

They believe that Jesus's actual return was in 1914. Going totally against the logic of scripture, they try to prove this by saying that it was their faithful and discreet slave, (their leaders) translated this event as seeing his return not with human physical eye's, but with eye's of knowledge and understanding which only their faithful and discreet slave, their leaders, were able to see.

I myself don't fully label them a cult, they just have cult like behaviors. They do lead exemplary moral lives for the most part, however they did have a big scandal like the catholic church did with pedophiles. But they went beyond that by punishing victims with excommunication and protecting the molesters and child abusers.

The only other positive thing I could say about them is that our current protective rights to evangelize is somewhat due to some supreme ruling court cases they won way back in their beginnings.

Other than that, if anyone want to turn their lives into dullless, fun is sinful, hate your family and friends and yes willing to drink the cool aid when ever their leaders snap their fingers, the jw's are for you.....but just a little warning......they blaspheme the Holy Spirit.

Most of the relious holidays we hold dear in our society are of pagan origin. Even christmas.

See what happened was the Roman church or whatever they called themselves in about 400A.D. tried preaching to the germanic peoples. They didn't make any headway through conventional fire and ****ation type speachs in trying to get rid of pagan rituals and dates. So instead they took them over. Christmas is actually at a germanic mid winter festival in which they worshipped the forest Goddess. Every family would decorate a tree in the forest with food and other offerings to the goddess. She in turn would give them a good year of hunting if the offerings were acceptable.

Not sure where easter comes from.

All hallows eve or Halloween originates from Samhein I think it was. It was the one night of the year where the veil between our world and the spirit world grew very thing and where evil spirits would be able to pass through the veil between our world and the spirit world. Everybody dressed up in costumes of ghouls and ghosts and things so the evil spirits wouldn't know who was human and who was a spirit. They also left offering outside their doors to pacify the spirits so they'd be left alone.

The Roman church borrowed some ideas and incorporated them into the modern holidays that we know in order not to offend the germanic peoples they were trying to reach. The result was a bastardized system of religious beliefs that has resulted in our current reverence for some holidays.

Originally there were something like 200 special days in a year which were observed by the Roman church, and all of them had pagan beginnings.

I apologize and please show me proof if any of this is wrong.

There is no clearer way of transmitting the gospel than what the Apostle Paul said here.....

Romans 14 (New International Version)

Romans 14

The Weak and the Strong

1Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters. 2One man's faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. 3The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him. 4Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand. 5One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. 6He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. 7For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. 8If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
9For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living. 10You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God's judgment seat. 11It is written:
" 'As surely as I live,' says the Lord,
'every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will confess to God.' "[a] 12So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.
13Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way. 14As one who is in the Lord Jesus, I am fully convinced that no food[b] is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean. 15If your brother is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy your brother for whom Christ died. 16Do not allow what you consider good to be spoken of as evil. 17For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, 18because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men.
19Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. 20Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. 21It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall.
22So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what he approves. 23But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin."

What are we, who follow Jesus Christ, arguing over? We all worship God, some of us perfer to use the linguistic equivalent of YHVH as Jehovah, others are content that our Father hears all of us, and has many names, but we all agree, God Almighty, He is our father, we are His creation.

Good Scripture, Matalica.

There's also Acts 17:22-31. Paul goes to Athens and bases his teachings off of the Athenian temple to "an Unknown god." That is exactly what the Church was doing in Germany; taking man-made and pagan traditions, and purifying and Christianizing them. God is greater than any false pagan superstition.

Here is a small list of Jehovah’s Witnesses Doctrine/Belief and their literature that shows their erroneous beliefs about the Bible, G-d, and Jesus. It is a false religion and anti-Christianity.
Only the Watchtower Society can interpret the Bible. Individuals cannot.
"...the Bible is an organizational book and belongs to the Christian congregation as an organization, not to individuals, regardless or how sincerely they may believe that they can interpret the Bible...the Bible cannot be properly understood without Jehovah's visible organization in mind" (Watchtower, October 1, 1997, p. 587).
The New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures (the JW Bible version) is the best translation of the Bible, and should be used over any other version.
"Outstanding among Bibles is the New World Translation of the Christian Greek Scriptures...Accuracy, uniformity, clarity, and up-to-date language mark this excellent work. Bible study aids without equal make this an indispensable help to sincere searching students of God's Word" (What Has Religion Done For Mankind, 1951, p. 351.
The Trinity does not exist, and is an evil doctrine that teaches the existence of 3 gods.
"Never was there a more deceptive doctrine advanced than that of the trinity" (Reconciliation, 1928 )
"...sincere persons who want to know the true God and serve him find it a bit difficult to love and worship a complicated, freakish-looking, three-headed God" (Let God Be True, 1946)
"Satan is the originator of the trinity doctrine" (Ibid.)
Jesus Christ was Michael the Archangel before becoming a man.
"...the Son of God was known as Michael before he came to earth" (Reasoning from the Scriptures, p. 218).
After Jesus died, he was resurrected with His original identity as Michael the Archangel.
"Read carefully the following Bible account: 'War broke out in heaven: Michael [who is the resurrected Jesus Christ] and his angels battled with the dragon'" (You Can Live Forever in Paradise on Earth, 1982, p. 21).
Jesus is "a god", and lesser than Jehovah God.
In the JW version of the Bible, John 1:1 says, "In the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was a god." [emphasis added] "...that is the Word was a powerful godlike one. Clearly, Jesus is not Almighty God." (Ibid., p. 40).
Salvation must be earned through works
"To get one's name written in that book of life will depend on one's works, whether they are in fulfillment of God's will and approved by his Judge and King." (Watchtower, August 15, 1972).
There are two classes of Christians: A "little flock" who are born-again children of God, and the "great crowd" or "other sheep", who will live in "Paradise" on earth after the destruction of the unbelievers. Only the "little flock" will go to heaven.
"The Bible shows that only a limited number of persons, a 'little flock,' will go to heaven...The rest of faithful humankind will live on earth as the subjects of these rulers" (Watchtower, February 15, 1984)
We will be gods when we join Christ in heaven.
"...we are begotten of a divine nature...Jehovah is thus our father...we are divine beings - hence all such are Gods...Now we appear like men, and all die naturally as men, but in the resurrection we will rise in our true character as Gods" (Watchtower, December 1881, 1919 repr.).
There is no eternal hell for the wicked. All "unbelievers" will be annihilated, and simply cease to exist.
"The fiendish concepts associated with a hell of torment slander God and originate with the chief slanderer of God (the Devil)" (Reasoning from the Scriptures, 1985).
JW's are forbidden from saluting the flag or engaging in political activities
"...birthday celebrations tend to give excessive importance to an individual...Jehovah's Witnesses do not share in birthday festivities (parties, singing, gift giving, and so forth)...." (School and Jehovah's Witnesses, 1983).
"...nowhere in the Bible do we find that parents are to be worshiped, or that there should be a Father's Day and a Mother's Day kept in their honor." (Awake!, May 8, 1956).
"Christendom's chief holiday, Easter, therefore finds no support at all in the Bible. It is of pagan origin." (The Truth that Leads to Eternal Life, 1968).
Blood transfusions are strictly prohibited.
Reasoning from the Scriptures, 1985, and Blood, Medicine and the Law of God, 1961, claim Acts 15:29 as a prohibition against receiving blood transfusions.
Christ returned invisibly in 1914 and began setting up His Kingdom. World War I was a sign He'd arrived.
"...Bible evidence shows that in the year 1914 C.E. God's time arrived for Christ to return and begin ruling...Christ's return invisible...Christ himself gave a visible 'sign' by which we may know that he is invisibly present...'NATION WILL RISE AGAINST NATION'...Surely you have seen this part of the 'sign' being fulfilled since 1914! In that year World War I began" (You Can Live Forever In Paradise on Earth )
well said!!
i have wrote grat doctrinal, 100% bible post like yours, but ppl seem to ignore them..
i guess they are too long to read who knows.
anyways u said it!
