OK - most of us are familiar with the game "Two Truths and a Lie," in which a person shares two interesting (hopefully) things about themselves, and then a "lie." The other players then have to guess if statement #1, #2, or #3 is the "lie."

This is kind of like that, BUT the variation is that all three things shared MAY be true, making the game just a little bit more difficult!

I will start us off:

1. I have traveled south of the equator.

2. I have taught high school band, choir, and orchestra.

3. I have been bitten by a vampire bat.

I say all three are truths :)

Vampire bats mostly live in Central to South America. And you can't have two lies ;)

Mine -

#1 I walked barefoot at the White House

#2 I was in a car accident with a head on collision with a bus

#3 I fell into a water tank at night when I was 3 years old

My three troofs..

1. I once piloted a cessna skylane over orange county, california with no autopilot or help from the plane's owner seated next to me in the cockpit (I relied solely on my vast computer flight simulator experience :))

2. I was the drummer for three local rock bands

3. I was on tv once in a CBS news story because the reporter came in to interview my boss about the economy. They showed about 5 seconds of video of me working at my desk. :p

3a. I like going to the beach. :)

Fun thread!!! Let's see if I can dig up anything...

1. I've spent 3 Thanksgiving's in a maximum security prison.

2. I once asked Michael Jordan for his autograph while he was dining alone in a restaurant.

3. In college, I once modeled for an art class.

Gasp!!! Sharing my sordid past for all to see... :D

I thought this one would be easy but this is how my thought process went...

1. I've been stabbed in the foot with a hunting knife this sounds feasible cause she's from Georgia.
2. I've been shocked by lightening and blacked out. this sounds feasible cause she's from Georgia.
3. I was born in the car on my way to the hospital. this sounds feasible cause she's from Georgia.

1. I know she works with and write prisoners so that one sounds good.
2. Could happen except Michael Jordan probably doesn't eat alone.
3. Could happen because she's a work of art.

Going with #2 is a lie.

I'm actually going to say that all of Seoul's are true.

Okay, for me.
1. I have a name very similar to one of my great-aunt's, although I'm not named after her.
2. I play ten instruments extremely well.
3. I was once asked to tryout for a music scholarship.

Which is true and which is not. Or any true? Mwahahahaah

I'll go along with 2 and 3 but your great aunt is probably just so so.

My CC Family knows me all too well. I can't get away with anything! ;) My statements are two truths and a half-truth.

1. I have a friend who is incarcerated and have visited him on 3 Thanksgivings. One y
ear, the female officer at the front desk gave me a hard time and said I had to get a different t-shirt to wear (WHAT? It had 3/4 sleeves and was something I wore to church.) And, it was THANKSGIVING. NOTHING was open and I hadn't thought to bring a change of clothes (I had thought church clothes would be acceptable.) I was thinking, "Good grief lady, who do I look like, Britney Spears? Are you REALLY afraid I'm going to do a table dance in a prison at noon on Turkey Day???"

Needless to say, I drove several miles before I finally found an open gas station with waffle-weave sweatshirts. The smallest size they had was a 3XL (I normally wear a medium) but I was determined to get into that prison. I put the darn thing on under my regular shirt, drove back to the prison (have I mentioned I'm stubborn), and was finally allowed in (and the female officer told me "thank you" for not arguing with her and just following policy.) When I finally got to talk to my friend, I told him, "You have no idea how hard I've had to work to get into this prison!!!"

2. This actually happened to my brother and not me. He was working at a country club and the entire restaurant had been cleared out so that Mr. Jordan could have the place all to himself. My brother, always being very outgoing and somewhat fearless, walked up to his table in the middle of the empty clubhouse and said, "Hey Mike... would I be able to get an autograph?" (To which, Mr. Jordan graciously obliged.) I would have been too terrified to even think about approaching him, let alone talking to him or asking for his signature.

3. In college I worked at a small cafe, and a regular customer there taught art during a series of night classes. No, she wasn't looking for a 6-foot bean pole as a model or I would have never qualified. Rather, she explained that her students (all middle-aged to slightly older adults) were doing portraits and up until then, had only drawn Caucasian faces, and she wanted them to have the challenge of drawing a variety of ethnic backgrounds.

And so... I went and sat in a chair (fully clothed, thank you!!!) for something like 4 hour in front of a circle of people sketching what they saw. When they took a break, there was one man's drawing that I was particularly struck with, as it was done in black and white and he had even meticulously replicated the embroidery and beading on the cardigan I was wearing. But what I loved the most is that he captured a subtle but very haunted look on my face, which was a good reflection of what I was going through at the time.

I was going to offer to buy his drawing, but unfortunately, the class was only half over, and the second half consisted of adding color. I love color, but not for this particular piece. I did not like the final drawing at all because the addition of color made me look artificially upbeat and happy.

I prefer what's real over what we WANT to see, and wish he would have kept his interpretation as what he initially saw instead of what he probably thought was expected.

Thanks so much for playing! :D And, it's been really fascinating to read others' truths!!! (Zero and Viola, I'm guessing all of yours are true. Ken, thank you for the compliment, you're a sweetheart! :))

Keep the fun facts coming... and I hope more people will decide to play! :)

Bwahaha, As much as I appreciate people thinking I have this enormous ability in music, I must admit, I only play two instruments really well (or at least I think really well) and maybe five others that you could recognize a song. But alas, my skills with the guitar are not worthy to be mentioned at all. Sigh, one day I will conquer the guitar. ONE DAY. (In my best Scarlett O'Hara voice.)

And as for my Great Aunt, she really did have a name similar to mine, but I wasn't named after her, so that was the truth. And she made the best Corn Cob dolls.

And Christopher, I would say all are true, but a fan page is a little much to believe. Maybe a honorable mention on someone's fan page.

~ When I was a small child, I was attacked by a nest of 'ground hornets' -- and stung many times all over my body.

~ I have stood on the side of the Grand Canyon - close enough to the edge to fall in if the wind were to blow hard enough -- twice!

~ I was once "hunted down and shot in the back" by one of my cousins.
