I don't want to offend, I just want to learn. Thank you.

I'm curious how can I love God if he doesn't love me for who I am? The bible says he doesn't.

The first question might be for you to decide who you think you are, and why. I mean what is it you think God hates about you being you?

If God didnt love you, He would of not sent his son to die on the cross for you. God loves you more than you think. To love God? it has to come from the very heart God created in you. Seek him, learn of him, your love will grow and grow. He loves you for who you are, because he was the one who created you. When a baby is born, does that baby automatically know what it has to do? or to talk? No! it has to learn, its the same way for us. God created us, and we are to follow him, learn of him, and love him as our true father. But how do we do that? well we focus on what Jesus did, to be Christian, is to be Christ like. Learn what Jesus did, Learn and focus on what he still does for us each day because of his love. read his word, embrace the Holy spirit, and you will start to see God for who he really is, and then and only then you will see real love, real compasion, and you would be a fool not to accept it.

Does a parent love their child if they are a murderer or if they are drinking themselves to death? Probably, but that doesn't mean they wouldn't rather their child didn't do those things. I think of it as God loving me despite who I am.

Loves the sinner, hates the sin. Hij houdt van je, maar wil het beste uit je naar boven halen. Welkom trouwens ;p

This video by Tim Keller is a good short video.

Here is a longer video that goes more in detail by Matt Chandler https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0c8rGtTZCnM that should answer any questions you have.

(Romeinen 11, wij worden geënt in de Boom (dat is God) en als wij God als God zien, mogen wij er ook bij horen) Daarnaast, "Romans 5:8 - but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. "

Hoe kun je God liefhebben? Proberen naar zijn wil te leven. dus in het kort: God als God te erkennen plus je naasten lief hebben als jezelf.

Hopelijk kun je er iets mee :)

I'd be interested in seeing where that's written in the Bible.

Good answer. He really tried to go in the back door by asking "Why", and you answered the important question, "How."

If you love God you will obey God. The measure of your love is the measure of your obedience.

They obeyed God's laws far better than any of us do.
please explain this then. From differnt places in John.

15 “If you love Me, keep[a] My commandments.

23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.

31 “If I bear witness of Myself, My witness is not true. 32 There is another who bears witness of Me, and I know that the witness which He witnesses of Me is true. 33 You have sent to John, and he has borne witness to the truth. 34 Yet I do not receive testimony from man, but I say these things that you may be saved. 35 He was the burning and shining lamp, and you were willing for a time to rejoice in his light. 36 But I have a greater witness than John’s; for the works which the Father has given Me to finish—the very works that I do—bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me.37 And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. 38 But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. 39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. 40 But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.
41 “I do not receive honor from men. 42 But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you.43 I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. 44 How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God?45 Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you—Moses, in whom you trust.46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. 47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”

20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

I think this is plain. But please explain to me what you see?

I'd like to see your opinion on some examples of obedience.
Obedience to the whole New Testament revelation as the principles and commands given by God for His children to obey. Give me a platform I'll build you the guard rail so to speak. What topic regarding life and obedience did you have in mind with the question if any?
