Getting frightened

Ive talked about this with a few friends. Have you ever been at home, or maybe walking in a park, or anywhere you are alone...and suddenly become quite frightened. This happened to me when I was walking my dog in the bush at night - I normally love doing it because its quiet n smells lovely. For some reason I got spooked...like the feeling of GET OUT. So I run. But even as I'm running I am thinking hey its just your brain. Its not a ghost or blair witch thing. Its this tiny part of our brain that was very active when we were just three years old. Its kinda sweet that we are all still basically small frightened kids when it comes down to it.

I know a lot though who do believe in ghosts or demons. My mother whose has a lot of expertise in this would say that those who act possessed have a mental health disorder that responds well to treatments. I also know though that the bible and some churches refer to demons. I am not sure myself if they are real and think for the 99.99% its more about a mental health issue. As for freaking out about ghosts - well I don't believe in that either. I think its sweet that inside me I still have this three year old that can get scared for no reason though.

Well Miro - a lot of people believe as you do. All I can say is I haven't seen or even heard of any case where someone has been affected by Devils. In every recorded case Ive seen on the web it was a mental health issue eg paranoid Schizophrenia. So I suppose I'm saying that if they exist its just I have no knowledge of it. But besides the demon thing...don't u ever get frightened for no reason at all?

I think most such feelings are just our minds playing tricks on us, Yes demons exist, but they are better off tricking us to sin than to just gives us the goosebumps. if it happens again, try focusing on something good. Maybe sing a worship song

exactly... my point as well...its just your brain. A lot though are convinced that's it ghosts n stuff

It could just be your imagination but if it really is a demonic presence there are a few signs to look for. The air suddenly getting cold around you, a horrible rotten smell for no reason and of course that fear is usually one too, I have encountered a demon only once I was struck with unbearable fear but as I continued to say Jesus please save me Jesus please save me the demon disappeared and the fear did as well

When you are attacked by a demon and they appear right in front you like that one did with me trust me you know it's not your imagination

Sounds like you have a natural inclination or discernment there that GOD can use. I, too, realized that I could sense or discern certain spirits, faces, sounds, etc. when a demon (fallen angel) is around. Now, I am being led into a healing/deliverance ministry and GOD has put others across my pathway that have helped a lot. Barnes & NOble carries my book on this called "GOOD ANGEL/BAD ANGEL". IT's out there..but only for certain people...most cannot handle the supernatural.

When Jesus tells us to "resist the devil and flee from him", is He telling us about something that doesn't exist? Who tempted Jesus in the wilderness.......... his imagination? Who entered Judas? Who hindered Paul? (and on and on....)

In my country there is alot of people that had bren affected by devils, and yes i get frightened sometimes and when it come i sing any christian song and pray to god...

Allowing who Willie. There was noone there. Its just a little-kid thing being scared at night. Not sure what you mean by being influenced. Lots of kids experience being scared at night and lots felt better when there was a small light on so they they could see that really there was nothing there. Its not an evil demon conspiracy thing - or certainly wasnt in my case and I'm pretty certain 99.99% of other cases too.

Well you seem to have jumped to conclusions that you neednt have. I am capable of working out whats a silly unthreatening feeling I am having versus something more tangible. As for GOD - well Willie thats a personal thing between me and him.

Willie are you saying that every time an adult or a kid gets frightened its because of some evil entity? have I misunderstood your point?. If I have it correct then I dont accept it - In fact good parents will tell there kids that everything is just fine - geez telling them its a demon every time would be totally paranoid and scare the hell out of them even more then they are.

lol well you may be right. It wasnt a major thing and in fact I laughed at myself pretty soon afterwards.
