To my teen friends. Take a stroll through the adult rooms. look at the top threads in, for example, the bible discussion. Its my opinion it falls apart into attacks on one another. Christians insulting and vilifying Christians. People attacked for expressing an opinion. I've personally posted in the adult rooms n it didn't end well for me. I'm saying this here because I really hope that we teens don't follow the examples there. I think in the teen room we don't tend to attack each other and are friendly even if we disagree. I really want us to be encouraging and soft and gentle and sweet to each other. If you go to adult rooms please please don't follow common poor examples. Lets all stay sweet.

The singles and the misc. section are also good. the singles forum is a lot of silliness so if you need a place to get a good laugh that's a great place to start the misc section is a bit less funny but is still a great place to hang out. I never really go the young adult section often but as for the bdf if you don't have thick skin don't go there

That's cute. And im only saying this as a mom to a 14 yo. You are right, but those adlt threads arent for you. Perception and they way you see things would definately be different than mine in a peer level, which cause of the age difference, we're not. Yes i agree stay sweet and discuss the Word, push each other closer to the Lord.

really the age thing again no matter the way we see things due to age we all know when someone is being attacked or are arguing I agree with Zoii a lot of the time it is just debating rather than discussing and talking on matters we all have probs with at some point and grow.

And to me the OP has lost the credibility to talk about 'being different than the adults' when, after a few run ins with her in forums, she was quite disrespectful and rude and closed minded. Not only towards me but others who disagreed with her. I started making a point to avoid her because of this. If you truly want things to be different then lead by example.

Sigh - hear we go. Like I said. Please teens disregard the temptation to respond in these situations. I'm not sure why the adults do it - as an example even here in the TEEN room - but it does and the attacks can get personal and can bizarrely not even be connected with your comment or what you intended to say. However I'm pretty sure amongst the teens we can be nice to each other - and we are

Ugly - sigh - I've read some of your stuff and, like all of us, some I agree with and some I dont. I actually havent made a comment with you in - hmm I dont know when but a long time ago. If your avoiding me well...not sure what happened here then.

I'm going to have another go at answering this because I think my first answer wasnt good. Ugly I'm sorry you feel like you did. We've had one contact on 19 May when you came to the Teen Room and commented on a thread about the stars and life etc. Its wasnt me who called you mean it was another adult. If you discerned anything in my original thread that bugs you then allow me to say that I'll try harder to say what I mean without causing you to be upset.

So - If it helps you Ugly then I'm terribly sorry for any feelings you may have. If you or anyone dont think I'm credible thats totally OK. This is not about me but a principle.

I still think its the right thing that anyone coming here be gentle and positive. You dont have to agree with people but you can do it gently and non-aggressively - and preferably in a kind and sweet way. Surely thats fair enough. I so dont want us here to deteriorate into habbits you can see in some adult rooms
