Hi Bro. Murray, Oneness doctrine or Trinity doctrine cannot explain all the scriptural contexts even though both are supported by many scriptures. The true theory must be supported by entire scriptures and it should explain the entire scriptural contexts. I did a study on Godhead, you may read it here.. http://bit.ly/1lGSDJE . it all comes down to personal revalation thats all. but you all should look up tertullian to learn some stuff about the start of the trinity

The doctrine of the Trinity doesn't fail, only people with respect to it. I recommend 'God in Three Persons' by E. Calvin Beisner

Wish I would have seen this thread earlier. Anyway best way to think of it is like an egg. Three parts make up the egg; the yoke, the white, and the shell. However it's still an egg, and it wouldn't be an egg if it didn't have those three things. But the trinity is a confusing thing to talk about, but that's an easy way to help out even if just a little.
