Ideas and theories regarding one of the longest standing controversies in history? Where do YOU think they fit into God's design?

God created dinosaurs on the sixth day of Creation Week, the very same day He created humans (Adam and Eve).

I would think God made them when God created the creatures of the earth and sea

The bible does say that God made the beasts of the earth BEFORE He made man :p

I dunno the time they were around compared to the time we were around, but the bible does say they came first :p

Same days as humans, just a little before God created Adam, the first man.

well Im more in line with the evidence of carbon dating...so dinosaurs were pre human development. To me its no controversy tho - to me it doesn't affect ur faith one way or the other

Same for me Zoii. It's not really an issue to me.

I could make a case for there being millions of years between Gen 1:1 and Gen.1:2, In which dinosaurs roamed until the fall of satan which put the earth into a state without form and void. The original words used there would somewhat support that theory.

I can also accept that the earth is only a bit over 6000 years old and carbon dating is bogus. I've seen examples of modern things dating as thousands of years old.

Yeah, I just read about Behemoth the other day. Totally a sauropod, as the description doesn't really fit hippos or elephants (the two most common candidates for the title). And I'm not too convinced about the Pre-Adam World theory, either. How would a formless, chaotic world have the potential to preserve dinosaur skeletons? Nope, dinos were totally 6-th day creations.

Bold statement, how come it is never written that a Raptor, Saber Tooth, or T-Rex eat so and so.

I'm not advocating the theory but the word Tohuwabohu translated formless and void doesn't necessarily mean formless or void.

I'm kind of wondering why crocodiles and aligators are not considered dinosaurs. I haven't really researched it, but I don't get why such a huge distinction is made between dinosaurs and crocodilians.

Possibly off-topic...

Lizards and crocodiles and alligators have their legs at their sides. Dinosaurs, on the other hand, had their legs beneath them. Not worded the best, but that's the gist of the differences between the two.

No, of course not. If it makes sense in the plain reading of the Bible, of course we're going to want to change it to make it more complicated and to say something else, something else that aligns with the evolutionary teachings we all picked up in school. Blah. :p

Bold statement? Really? It's logical. We know dinosaurs existed at one point in the distant past. The Bible records 4000 years of history. Creation Week lasted six days. Land-dwelling animals were created on Day 6. Dinosaurs would be classified as such. Hence, Dinosaurs were created on Day 6, just before humans.
