That's just the devil giving you those thoughts. I used to have that too. He likes to make you think it's you. Going to confession every day doesn't help. Ask someone to pray for you to set you free and declare over yourself that Christ set you free. I used to have that whenever I saw a guy I had to think filthy sexual thoughts but I hated that. Those were not my thoughts but obsessive thoughts I had to think and then I thought they could read my thoughts, so it drove me nuts. It was just the devil tormenting me. I asked for deliverance prayer from the pastor. Didn't work. Then I got a prophetic Word from Jesus: I declare you free in My Name! I just believed it and it was instantly gone.

So what do I do go to confession or not receive communion every Sunday ? I don't say it out loud like I mean it but I don't want to die and go to hell ?

You don't automatically go to hell because you have those thoughts.

We ALL fall short of the glory of God (and "the penalty of sin is death") That is why Jesus died for us! Instead of us.
HE took the fall, the blame, the wrath.

Only God can forgive sins. And as Jesus told his disciples to forgive their "brothers" 7x70 ....I think He is quite patient with us :)

I've had the same problem, it lasted a year or more. I kept praying about it, and eventually it went away.

Seek God, not man :)

Two simple things you need to understand about yourself
1. Your brain creates thoughts, ideas that reflect something you have decided, is pushing you etc.
It is part of what is normally called your subconscious.
2. Accept that your brain has given you this thought and it is ok.
You do not know why or how it came, but it is fine. You will work it out at some point.

Our bodies are processes which throw up stuff all the time. If you try and repress it, the system goes, must try harder to get this message across.

The other aspect is assert in your life and thoughts all the positive things you feel towards God and why.
If there are other issues, let them come up and take them seriously. It will take time to work through them, but they will be important.

I hope this helps.

If you asked Jesus to forgive your sins and come in your heart you don't go to hell. You're saved. If you have bad thoughts yourself you can just confess them to God yourself at home and it's done away. But this sounds like it's not your thoughts but just from the devil so you need to be set free and have someone pray for you and then confess the Word who you are in Christ. You have eternal life. Your sins are forgiven. You are the righteousness of God. If the Son sets you free you are free indeed. My son had this when he was 8. His dad spoke about hell so he got scared and got those thoughts he had to think all day through. His dad prayed for him for deliverance, me too, but he kept being scared about going to hell and kept having these thoughts. So his dad went with him to a psychologist who wanted to give him pills. I got so mad since those pills almost killed me. There had to be an answer and quick. Next week he had to go there too and my ex didn't listen to me. So I said: tell your dad you're healed and that you don't have these thoughts anymore. But then I lie. No it's the truth. Confess the Word. We prayed for you. God's Word says you are free. So he did while he still had it. Dad didn't believe it. Within one week it was totally gone. No need to go back to the psychologist. No fear of hell anymore. I would find a good ministry where they can pray for you or listen to Derek Prince or T.B. Joshua on youtube praying for viewers and read this, who you are in Christ:the pdf on tophttps://www.google.nl/search?site=&source=hp&ei=CHijVpaWO8X_ady5gdgM&q=bible+texts+who+you+are+in+christ+neil+anderson&oq=bible+texts+who+you+are+in+christ+neil+anderson&gs_l=mobile-gws-hp.3...2246.19297.0.19623.49.48.1.5.5.0.583.10258.16j10j8j6j5j2.47.0.cmoa...0...1.1.64.mobile-gws-hp..2.44.9281.3.vQqydBZS8r8#q=bible+texts+who+you+are+in+christ+neil+anderson&prmd=ivn&start=10

Usually christians don't go to confession. That's what catholics do. Taking God's name in vain is a sin, so ask God to take this habit of swearing away from you. Like coby said in her reply, it is the devil giving you these thoughts. We are in the last days and satan is trying his darnedest to get as many of us as he can before Jesus returns. Resist him in Jesus' name and he MUST flee from you.

It appears that you are very anxious about this. God knows your heart and that you don't want to take His name in vain. I read where you say that you go to confession every day so perhaps you are Catholic.

I would suggest that you just privately confess your sins to God. You may have a neurosis about this need to go to confession for each and every infraction. I was raised a Catholic so that I have a certain measure of understanding about this.

Welcome to CC.

Swagdaddy...
Do not get stuck in man-made dogma tradition and rituals. When your conscience is pricked, take it as a sign from GOD that something is NOT kosher in the relationship you have with JESUS CHRIST, His Son. Immediately talk (pray) to HIM and ask "Holy Spirit...what are YOU trying to say to me?" and allow His sweet presence to speak and give you direction. You do not have to run to the local rectory or a dark confessional booth, or thumb through a list of former dead people who have been canonized and pronounced a Saint. None of this occurred in the BIBLE pages... Cursing is just a nasty habit that can be broken and conquered like any other 'sin'. Greater is HE (Jesus CHRIST) that is in you than he (satan) that is in the world. You have full access to your Savior, even when you can't physically make it to a local pastor to receive a deliverance prayer. Life is not to be so uptight that you feel that every time you slip spiritually, you have to run to a parish or cathedral. You have a vibrant, living Creator who should be living inside of your brain! The BIBLE is clear: "Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind". Nowhere in scripture will you find that "Thou must light candles, make ceremonious gestures, consort with an established parishioner." I would encourage you to study the BIBLE for yourself instead of having someone else interpret it to you. JESUS CHRIST and you are a spiritual marriage...you work things out together, one on one, face to face..as you grow together. What I am saying is "Find a true Bible believing and living, holy spirit filled congregation that you can draw strength from each other". A place where you can discover your spiritual gifts, as listed in 1 Corinthians, chapter 12.

Swagdaddy I'm assuming you're Catholic, and as such I would highly recommend you talk to your Priest about this. I have a feeling he'll say something like this; taking the Lord's name in vain is definitely a sin, but it sounds like you are obsessing about it a little too much. Just try your best not to say it, but if you say it accidentally because you have a habit of saying it, don't worry, that isn't a mortal sin and doesn't exclude you from receiving communion! :) And if you say it, just apologise to Jesus in your heart, and bring it to your next confession. Try not to worry to much though, just focus on Jesus. :)
