I just discovered this show. The mom has like 23 kids now. No kissing before marriage? Side hugs? Ugghh.I can't wait until one of those repressed kids ends up doing something immoral and embaresses the family. You know it's gonna happen sooner or later. I wish they would just canacel that show already. It gives normal Christians a bad name:p

Never seen the show. But you sound kind of like a jerk about them. Here you are WISHING bad things to happen to them, simply because you disagree with their way of raising their kids and the way they live out their faith. You come on a Christian site, and make a thread with nothing but the intention of bashing some Christians in the public view, wishing bad things on them, criticizing how they are, hoping they get embarrassed and stating that THEY give 'normal' Christians a bad name. If you qualify as a 'normal' Christian then what kind of name are you giving Christians with the attitude you're presenting?
Who do you think God is more displeased with. Them for trying to live their lives, and raise their children to be wise, safe, spiritual and moral? Or you going to a public Christian forum to trash them and wish bad things on them?

Also the above post is right. You aren't a teen. This is not a teen oriented topic. So why are you posting this here? To be an example to teens of how not act as a Christian?

Relax there Mr Ugly, I was being facetious (go ask your mom what that means). I have a right to express my opinion, and what you call "trashing" I call criticism. You really feel they have every right to raise their children anyway they want? Here's an example. My next door neighbor was a JV his whole life. He married a Buddhist women while traveling overseas. He was disavowed by his family for almost six years. Here's another. When I was in college I played in a band with a guy who's girlfriend was a Christian Scientist. When he asked for her fathers blessing he was told he had to give up playing music as they believed rock n roll was from the devil and instilled lustful, sexually deviant thoughts into the hearts of kids. Guess what, both of these examples are not that far off from what the Duggars believe. How long can they keep them in the dark before something goes wrong? I didn't mean to post this in teens, I was looking for the family section, my mistake. But pull up your big boy pants before you go attacking me and join the real world. And btw, if you're really 40 yrs old, than you're old enough to be my mom and old enough to know better.

We need to be careful with that kind of thinking. That is just exactly the kind of legalistic/fundamentalist desires they, themselves hold. ("I hope God 'gets' them, and they are made to pay!") It is in the face of extremes like that show that we need to let some grace flow from us.
