Hi there On Sunday i took my two nephews shopping , they are in there 20s and my one nephew lives in the woods as he dose not want to stay at home the other lives in his own apparent , so any ways the one that lives in the woods stoled a lot of little food from superstore , me and my one nephew new what he did , should i have told on him before he left the store , i asked him what GOD would say to him for that - he told me he would tell GOD it is better to take from stores then garbage cans - Was i wrong for not saying anything ? will GOD hold that on me ?? should i have turned my own nephew in to the manger ???

I could be wrong, but I think the law makes you guilty if you observe a crime and don't report it.
If he needed it that badly, couldn't you have paid for it (if you didn't feel he should have to put it back) ?

Hi there wwjd_kilden , Well he would not put the food back even if i told him to i would have paid for it but i'm not working and have no money i have been looking for work for over a year now and in a lot of trouble my self as i can't pay for my car and just about to loose it work is hard to find here right now , as far as him needed it that bad , no he did not as it was his choice to live in the woods my sister told me he left on his own because he did not want to live buy her rules .But anyways so his sin became my sins ??? i have asked God for forgiveness for not saying anything .

I don't think God blames you for another persons sins, but I think the (US) law might. I don't know though.
If he insists on sinning even after you offered him a right alternative, there isn't much else you can do than pray for him.

Let him get caught and go to jail. He will have free rent, 3 meals a day, and tv in jail.. You should have spoken up to the store manager though. By not saying anything when you saw him steal, that's condoning his sin..
