Welcome to CC

(To be honest, when people write things like that, I suspect they are really protestants trying to bash Catholics.)
It happens a lot on here, so sorry if you are genuine.
- Are you a minor? (Just wondering since you mentioned being scared of your parents).

I can assure you though, that God does NOT hate you. He loves you! He sent His son to die for you.

Catholicism is NOT christianity. It is a false religion. Catholics say Hail Mary's, pray with rosaries, and they pray to Mary, believing that she intercedes on their behalf to Jesus. She doesn't. Mary cannot hear OR answer prayers, and she is NOT an intermediary. JESUS is our ONLY intermediary. Christians do NOT say Hail Mary's, nor do we use rosaries to pray to Mary. Christians believe that Jesus is our only mediator. Christians do NOT bow down to statues, or worship them or build shrines.

You are very smart to get out of the catholic faith. :) And no, God does not hate you. He is very pleased that you are no longer being deceived by the evil, false catholic religion.

Baptism is an outward sign / symbol of what has changed inside you. You do not have to redo it.
... but if it helps you by making it clearer to yourself that you are starting afresh, don't hesitate, it can't do any harm either :)

Love and respect your parents always, but love and respect God more so. You do whatever you need to do to establish and strengthen your relationship with God in Jesus Christ. Rejoice in your salvation always, and be at peace knowing God is well pleased with you. God bless you, friend. I'm happy for you.

Hi SadGuy. To me this ^^^^ was the best answer and worth considering. There are many symbolic gestures that seek to remind us of God's magnificent mercy of being rescued from sin. I'm Catholic and comfortable in my faith, but applaud your questioning and journey through Christ. I've never worshipped saints or Mary mother of Christ either, but hold many saints and especially Mary in high and holy regard. If we believe the Son of our God of Israel was born of Mary through the touch of immaculate conception, died on the cross for our salvation, then rose from that death and ascended into the Kingdom of God in flesh and bone, leaving his life blood at Calvary and sits at THE right hand of God the Father Almighty, then Mary's very DNA sits there too. That's reason enough for me to hold her in high regard and understand the blessing and grace bestowed on her by God as is taught in scripture.

The Eucharist to me is gesture of an understanding of what Jesus was said in John 6:51 through 56. Sometimes there are literalists who don't take the bible so literally when it comes to those verses.

The importance of your OP though was your confession that you accepted - or had faith - that Christ is your only salvation. That's the important part and I hope you find the spiritual path you're looking for even if it's contrary to your parents wishes. In honor of your parents, I think you should be able to accurately express why you chose the path you're on. Please also be guided by Romans 13 and understand that we're all given this grace of salvation by MERCY - not by what food we eat or baptism we employ, and not by what the manner in which we glorify God.

Hello happyguy, I won't call you sad guy, because I believe in the power of words.
You have to make a stand for Jesus, no matter who it might separate you from, see Mark 10: 29-30.
Have you been baptised in the Holy Ghost with the Biblical evidence of speaking in tongues, As one of the operations of tongues is to build us up Spiritually, 1 Cor 14: 4. Jude 20.

If not, You van be any time you have faith to receive Him, [The baptism in the Holy Ghost].
God doesn't hate anyone, He loves you, and He does love it when people leave the erroneous Catholic church.
