I don't remember if I mentioned the little tiki doll that I got from hawaii. It was just a little 2" tall stone carving of a tiki doll (it might have been plastic, not sure). I bought it because it was a nice souvenir...

When I got home I put it in the dash compartment of my car and forgot about it. I noticed that I started having instances of bad luck happening a lot. One time I was cruising on the freeway with no other cars around except one in the lane next to me and suddenly this car came out of nowhere and viciously cut me off by trying to squeeze between my car and the other one!

It was enough to make me ask God what in the world is going on lately and I just happened to glance down below my car's radio and there was the little black tiki doll. I made the connection right away between the time my bad luck started and when I got the tiki doll... and even though I hated getting rid of it (because it was so cool-looking) I threw it away as soon as I got home and the bad luck seemed to stop.

it looked a lot like this guy except it had more ornate stuff on the sides..

Just another side of the same coin. I know several people who are missionaries some who
work in Africa. They are very careful about the sort of trinkets and silveners they take into
their homes or which they bring back for gifts.

To look at them they might just be wood carvings or ornate beads etc, completely
harmless you might think, but some of these harmless items are used by tribesman in
witchcraft, conjuring up spirits, talking to the dead, even voodoo.

Just because something looks innocent and pretty doesn't mean it's harmless.
The demonic can attach themselves to such harmless looking things. Even if that is
not the case, I for one would not feel comfortable having something in my house which I
know has spiritist or demonic use. Such things can be a magnet a doorway to trouble.

If you ever feel oppressed, burdened for no reason, suddenly find yourself getting
anxious for no apparent, can't shake off a feeling of dread for no apparent reason,
then take a look around your house and see what you are letting into it.

This is not just superstitious nonsense, I've known people who have experienced such things.

Demi is spot on when she says she wants a clear house.
If you think about that the carved out pumkins are acturly from vodoo and demons attach themselves through the pumkins and get into homes every year.
I saw too much crazy stuff happening because of some objects, including crosses!! I try to avoid what I can avoid and decern lol.. dont take me wrong I still wear a cross, but not the one that made me freak out like a wild animal where I dont even remember most of it...
Statues and stuff can get dangerous..and I dont even wanna think about africa. I would never, ever EVER get any figurines or anything from there. You never know of it was handled or cursed before it got to that market. And if you dont think an dont decern (which as we are human we dont always are super careful with every step we do) you might just end up with hell breaking loose all around you and in your congregation. Especially the afican witchcraft vodoo and macumba is one of the worst, if not even the worst.

Yeah my mom had one too.. Thank God she got rid of it lol. The thing is that its hard to not make a cult out of it. I got over 5 dragon sculptures in my room alone, we have more. They dont bother a bit. But the dream catcher I had..it had to go. Always depends on the object or where its from and if it is still ''innocent and uncursed'' lol

Yea dragon figures or art are harmless because those items aren't supposed to contain some kind of supernatural energy. They're just big lizards with wings. :)

Demonic spirits can even stick themselves to paintings and those things that are hollow and almost everything even to people not only in dream catchers. But God protects us and this spirits will have no power over us. We can even rebuke those spirits and they will flee faster than light.

Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Once theyre in your house and attached, they have a right and hold on to it and mess with you. if its attached to a object it cannot just be rebuked, you gotta most likely get rid of the thing. If a demon follows u around you can rebuke it, but not if its attached to a object (by a curse).
Depends always on the case.

lol God created them just as everything else thats in the bible (im not open to argue about that there once even were these creatures created by God, I just dont think theyre still in existance today). The devil calls himself one but still hes not, even if he wants to be one (which I find hilarious). Unless its a evil symbolic thing like in chinese cultures where you get dragon sculptures specifically for good luck etc. its not gonna do diddldy squat.

We can reduce anything down to its material components, but that doesn't mean there's no spiritual significance.

Perfect sum up of my beliefs about it all. Having a lackadaisical attitude about them as christians is an open door the enemy. God tells us in His word that we're at war in the spiritual realm and to be in constant awareness about satan who wants to bring us down. Get rid of everything to do with the enemy and dedicate your surrounds, values and anything you embrace in life to Jesus exclusively.

Better safe than sorry. Why would you hold on to something or why bother rebuking when you can just throw it away? But I still don't believe that a curse is more powerful than the protection of Jesus.

No curse is more powerful than Jesus. But theres laws in the supernatural relm. if you give something a right to come in and be there by putting it on you or in your house, its allowed to stay until it looses its right and you get rid of it.
Now the protection of Jesus comes in when a witch wants to curse you. A curse without cause cannot hit. So you will not be affected by it unless theres a gap. And the only reason it doesnt hit you unless theres a gap, is because of Jesus.
People who dont have Jesus are completely open and get hit by it all. I feel bad for em.

Theres no good reason holding on to something that bothering you so yea just throw it away. Rebuking comes into place is something follows you without a reason and has no right. Which happens a lot that demons follow people to wait and see if they can get a door open in their life to enter. When you notice that, you can rebuke it and it has to go. Or family curses, break the curse and rebuke who held it in place.

Something which bothers me are the numbers of new age type, pagan and occult shops,
which have sprung up. There are even some witch craft shops. Of course they don't
advertise themselves as such, they advertise their goods as home furnishings, mind
body and soul tranquillity trinkets etc.

They give me the creeps, even just walking past them makes me feel weird they have a
underground cave like oppressive atmosphere to them. I know that sounds odd but it's
how I feel when I walk past them.

This is the sort of thing I mean. They tend to sell things like dream catchers, Christals, pentagrams, wooden and
stone gargoyle like statues, buddhas, etc.

There is one shop which I have seen that sells wooden models of hares, owls, rabbits, foxes, I'm sure such things are
connected to pagan practises about the summer and winter solstice.

They never state who they are in the shop, but sometimes when you look on line they advertise themselves as healing
and spiritist shops.

I dont want anything to do with them or anything that they sell. You never see them selling crosses!

lol sis I got so many crystals and stones I could stone you :p If I were able to find all.. they kinda ended up all over. I have no problem with these shops..I kinda always fight myself not to go in and start talking about God and praying for people and see things happen on Satans territory. Somehow the most miracles happen on his territory!
Im too bold when it comes to some things..

Yea, good luck charms unfortunately don't have the power that cursed things have..... why is that?!
(my guess is because the cursed things get their power from evil which is always looking for ways to infiltrate our lives, while good luck charms would have to get their power from God and He ain't got no time fo' dat )

Good luck charms bring back luck and are just as demonic as the rest :p

I read about things like this in a book called " unbroken curses" by rebecca brown.

She also talks about a GAP that you mentioned earlier. Maybe she is friends with the author you are reading?
The only thing I remember about the book is about objects being cursed and demons being attached to it. I read it about 15 years ago. The article you linked was interesting.
