So, I haven't been the most confident person. I have a long history with anorexia. Eventually I started forcing myself to eat, but I still hate how I look. I'm afraid I'm going to stop eating again. I hate myself after I eat, but I know I have to. I've tried changing the thoughts of "not thin enough and not thin at all" but I can't. Helpppp

I have to honestly tell you that the first thought that went through my mind when I saw your avatar photo was. "Man, she's skinny."

This is a serious condition that should be treated by a doctor. I will say a prayer for your condition.

I know it is. :/ I am not Anorexic anymore. I landed myself in the hospital in the past, so I am eating. I'm just having self confidence issues again and I dont know how to think of myself more highly

Just remember how highly GOD thinks of you, and remember that you are a highly valued daughter of God. :)

Thank you, but that's the thing. I've tried...I've tried every self confidence technique there is. Praying, reading the Bible, knowing I am valued in the eyes of God, writing down compliments, writing something good about myslef everyday but none of it changes the way I think about myself

Not at all. You really would look nice with about 30 more pounds on you. Now, I am the one who needs to lose about 30 pounds... at the least.

You want to learn how to find out the truth about yourself (sizewise?) Ask some men (boys?) you trust, exactly who among your friends they think is the most attractive.

THEN......... Ask one or two of those girls to loan you a pair of pants or a blouse. (Or whatever else you can think of to get some of their actual clothes in your hands.) Try those clothes on. See if they don't fall right off you... or bag so much you will look like you're trying to wear a deflated balloon.

Or, do it in reverse. Ask one of them to try on your clothes. I'll bet they can't even button them.

THEN............................. Believe what you see.

I borrow friend's clothes all the time (ig it's a girl thing) Their clothes fit. Heck, when my sister visited I didn't have black jeans for family pictures so she let me borrow hers and they fit, and she is 23!

I think I asked you to let a man tell you which woman's clothes to try on.

Ah.... but she THINKS she is.
Yeah Yeah I see your point.
Here is why I think the way I do.
If I gain even a pound I feel awful about myself, if I look down, and my stomach isn't flat or less than then I feel awful, if I can't fit my hand around my waist or stomach then I feel awful.
So those are my reasons for thinking this way. No doubt you are going to argue that they are ridiculous but I don't find them so and I rarely meet those things I listed above
