I've been the bassist in my church worship team for almost 2 years now, however when I'm in the congregation I don't have the confidence to fully commit to the worship, like putting hands up etc,

Hi I am 16. its not wrong to be into worship I absolutely love to worship. If you can't seem to really get into worship or express yourself it just means that you are not sure of your surroundings. There is a bible verse that says " may the god of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the holy spirit" start off by playing music at home. bethel music is christian music you will love it you can really get into just tap it in on YouTube. If you know other christian music that you like then that's greate.
Basically what I am saying is that the more you express the more easily you will be able to express yourself in worship. Its a process of training the bible also says you should train yourself to godliness leading to holiness, which is also a process.
