What're you doing for fun this summer?

What did u use to do? Sports, part time job, choir, learning a skill, visiting orphanage/home for the aged? Some think the last 2 are actually fun.

There's ways to amuse yourself on CC I might be ye oldie at 28 but people my age we use don't want to reach thirty that's when they say the fun stops but I'd just poke my tongue out at that kinda idea/ notion

I like experimenting in the kitchen with different flavors for grilled/fried meat. Best part of summer is driving in the car. Nothing beats it! Other than that my summer fun is pretty boring....

We're headed full tilt into canning season and frankly, nothing is quite as satisfying as getting all the produce God has blessed us with processed in various ways. It is always insanely busy for a few months but VERY fun, in my opinion. Which reminds me...I have to finish up the peaches!

Hey thanks! Good to see you too. The break was really nice, but I'm glad to be back :) (and we'll definitely send some produce your way...do you prefer peaches, rhubarb, or blueberries? You'll have to wait a little while for tomatoes, chokecherries or apples... :p)

I'm pretty sure chokecherries are poisonous, Tinuviel.

Good night, I hope not. lol. The pits and leaves are poisonous, but not the berries themselves. (at least, we've been eating them for years with no ill effects).

They're a thing of their own. They're not like sweet cherries or tart cherries and they can't really be eaten by themselves, but we make a whopping jelly and a pretty awesome wine out of them.
