I find this sentence to be highly disturbing, especially directed at a 16-year-old. CocoPuff seek God and Righteousness and everything else will fall into place. You are not alone.
I didn't say anything wrong. If you said to a teenager of any sex "I want to listen to you", do you think it's right that you should be accused of being a pervert ?

I have evidence that 14 year old TemporaryCircumstances sent me a private message when I didn't ask for it and I was willing to listen and talk with her to share my experience of serving Jesus Christ with her.
Do you think I should have told her she was wrong to send me a private message ?
She doesn't randomly PM men that she doesn't know, like the OP here did. Nor do the grown men randomly PM her. For one, it's inappropriate, and two, MOST of the men here feel it's best to avoid the appearance of evil.

This isn't about TC. YES, you should have told her you didn't feel comfortable with speaking to a young teen. If she wants to share experiences about Jesus, then she can do it either in an open forum, or in a PM with us LADIES.
"I want to listen to you" Read that a few times then tell me that's not an odd thing to say. Maybe you do know how to talk to people better. (Although I'm not seeing it) It's not really the point. It's about being respectful to who you're talking to.
