I didn't say anything wrong. If you said to a teenager of any sex "I want to listen to you", do you think it's right that you should be accused of being a pervert?
I didn't say anyone did call me a pervert. What may you think proves precisely that I did say that ?

The red highlight above are YOUR words. So obviously you thought one of us was accusing you of being a pervert. There's your proof, right from your own mouth.

"I want to listen to you" Read that a few times then tell me that's not an odd thing to say.
I wasn't wrong to say what I said. You haven't proved precisely and God knows you won't.

Maybe you do know how to talk to people better. (Although I'm not seeing it) It's not really the point. It's about being respectful to who you're talking to.
I have been obeying what's commanded in Matthew 7:12.

I'm not mocking you, if there is a need:

A way to look at Matthew 7:12

So in everything, do/say to others what you would have them do/say to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

If you were in the condition of a lonely teenager and you said to another person I need someone to talk to, would you not want them to say to you "I want to listen to you".

Hey not to be a nosy rosey, but maybe you folks should discuss this matter in a different place. Teen forum might not be the best place.

Peace.

It was a question, not an accusation.

She doesn't randomly PM men that she doesn't know, like the OP here did.
So do you think TemporaryCircumstances was right to send me a private message ?

Nor do the grown men randomly PM her.
She wanted to listen and talk with me, I'm a Christian teacher, I have been willing to help her.

For one, it's inappropriate, and two, MOST of the men here feel it's best to avoid the appearance of evil.
I treated TemporaryCircumstances like she was my own biological daughter, I didn't turn her away when she wanted to listen and talk with me privately and I don't judge she was wrong.

Knock it off, People!

Cocopuff, this is YOUR thread, and if you want to talk with someone... just go ahead and start, Kid. These really ARE a pretty good bunch of listeners.

You may go and look in thread "Speak Your Mind" in Bible Discussion Forum and see that TemporaryCircumstances spoke to me there and you may judge there was no appearance of evil because she chose to speak to me.

She, a 14 year old girl sent me a private message.

I disagree, I'm a teacher for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Older men may teach young women in Christianity. I don't judge TemporaryCircumstances was wrong to discuss with me privately.
There are no Bible verses that support the bold text in the manner you did. I think you stepped out of line, even if it wasn't intentional. You should know better.

A teenager may look at my posts in this thread and judge I have shown a great way to defend when people have wrongly accused me and a teenager may learn from it.

So you may believe that Christian fathers have never taught their daughters anything and only the mothers teach them.

Do you think Jesus never taught some young women anything in this world ?

I'm not going to play the game with you. The more you post, the worse you make yourself look. As far as Jesus, He never called himself "a detective" to a teenager and asked if she "ever played detective".

I think Thomas has every right to be there for people to help them if he can even if it is a girl and she is sixteen. why take offence to this guys? He is a Christian trying to be like Christ. I'm pretty sure if a teenage girl went to Jesus asking for help he wouldn't refuse her just to please everyone. I am sorry Thomas that they taken offense to your good nature.
I am sorry Cocopuffs if you would like to talk to me please feel free too.

I agree you have a right to defend yourself. I just felt bad for the original poster. Have a good night.

That's not true. What may you think proves precisely that it is ?

There's sometimes no wrong in saying to a teenager that you're like a detective which is like what I said. Jesus Christ is against speaking wrong. What may you think proves precisely that I was wrong to say what I said ?

and asked if she "ever played detective".
I didn't say that. Why not quote what I actually said from the post, with post number ?

I may send a message to report you.
