hello everybody

to begin excuse me for my english, it is not my own language i'm from the Netherlands

i was thinking of how religion is in the USA, because here in the netherlands sometimes i think nobody believes anymore. I only know the USA from tv but i always see a lot of churches. Are they still many Christians there? And also good communities (don't know how to say this, hope it is clear)

Just tell me some thing, curious. also ask me of the Netherlands i you like.

In America, the lunatics are in charge of the asylum. Each year more and more nonbelievers gain power and there is a very open display of hostility against Christians from political leaders, judges, the media, public schools etc.

The majority of our young adults (like people in my age group) have chosen not to follow God and have taken to following earthly teachings. The US is turning its back on God right now. I guess its possible that something could happen that would cause many of our people to come back to Him. But as of now, the percentage of those who follow Him is on the decline.

Churches are common. Christians, by title are still fairly common. True Christians are not so common here. Mostly what you see now is remnants of our past, where Christianity was the norm, as opposed to a strong gathering of true believers. Many are just parroting what their parents raised them as, but with no true belief or conviction. But even that is declining.

There are a lot of churches in the USA. Sadly, there are some people (many, perhaps) who go to church but do not truly believe in Christ. :(

Hmm sounds like the UK. It seems the US and the UK follow each other in only bad ways.

I can see 23 houses on our block. And of those 23, 4 of them house people who us attend a church. That's 17.39%, and it is a little higher than in most areas. I would say it averages that 10-12% of the population in our city attend church............. Of that number, I won't attempt to speculate any further on how they view Jesus.

In the most recent government census less than 2% deemed themselves to be Christian - and we all know that doesn't necessarily mean they are Christian. Sad really...

I think it's the same in all of the "Christian" world
However, Christianity is growing in other, seemingly unlikely countries.

There is a lot of spiritual deadness in the United States.
