I want to be a person in this community who helps more, instead of passively interacting now and then when I have an issue.

I used this forum a long time ago when I was at a seriously low point in my life. I posted a few topics and got some help that I really appreciated, and I'm glad to say (after only 6 months, wow it's felt so long) that I'm feeling much better and have been doing much better. Now, I feel like I'm at a place where I should really be doing things for God.

Of course there are things I still need to change and improve about myself, yes, however I really feel like it is time for me to start taking action. When I was in need, I was surprised when people not much older than me came and gave me advice that sounded like it was coming from someone so seasoned as a christian. I am 15 years old, and I know that still makes me sort of a baby - even by teenager standards - but there's so much I feel like I could be doing that I'm not! I feel like I'm not contributing to God's kingdom. I don't know how to approach people at my school, and I barely know how to help on here.

That's a hard thing for me to say. I was raised in a christian home - I know all the big stories and themes and I know "what to say." Part of me feels like this still isn't good enough. I've been trying to memorize the book of Proverbs in bits and pieces, which has helped me personally, but I don't know how to show this to others that need it without sounding "judgy" for lack of a better word.

So, I guess, how do you suggest I go about becoming more confident in what I know? How can I help on here?

And, those of you on here that did help me, thank you very much. You have no idea how much you helped me - you probably don't even remember that you did haha. Thank you all. This community is so great. Sorry for the wall of texts

If you are talking about being a witness the Biggest way is to let your life and attitude reflect it. Going up and preaching at people isn't always the answer. When I was your age I would sometimes wear Christian t-shirts to school and carry my bible on top of my school books. This sent a message. By being so bold it leads to people asking you about why you do such a thing. That's just one example.
Also as a teen I was in leadership positions in two your groups. I was on the praise and worship team for one of those. I found a group that went to bad neighborhoods and witnesses to people. I was in a Christian band.
There are plenty of ways to help. And not all of them are public. My church would do various things throughout the year and I would volunteer to help set things up. Offer to come in once a week to help clean up the church. Things like this are also serving God. Just look around and see if there's an area in need and offer to help. Let people know what you believe and conversations come to you.
And if you do talk to someone who has questions you can't answer be honest and tell them you don't know. Or that you'll try to find out the answer and bring it back to them later.

This is just some ideas. Even if you can't do these perhaps you'll get an idea from them.

The attitude part of that is sometimes the hardest part. Sometimes as a Christian it's so easy to feel discouraged and down and then other people think that being a christian just makes you sad.

I like this idea, especially about carrying my bible on top of my books. My bible is already always in my back pack, so that would be something that wouldn't be hard for me to do. Thank you for these ideas, I appreciate your response~ I think that is what I will do until I start feeling more confident with myself. I'll focus on adjusting my attitudes and actions to reflect Christ. I feel like that really isn't going to be easy haha, but I'll try, and while I am I'll keep reading my bible. I should write this somewhere...

Show how much God loves us and treat people just like how Jesus would treat them. Do not ever think that you have developed enough knowledge of Christianity, because it is never enough. Humility and devotion is how you show people that you are devoted to your religion and even when you have understood so much, you still want to learn. I guess that's it.
