Hello my young brothers and sisters!!
I just want to remind you all to be careful around here.

-Dont accept requests from people you dont know
NOTE: Ive been noticing that often people who havent made any posts or whatever been sending out friend requests tho theyre just around about a day or whatever..Rather have a person less in your friends list!

-Dont share any private information (Addresses and stuff duuh)

-If you get a awkward message by someone u dont know (unless its queen ladyblue or me) report it

I am sure many people told you that already but I think its better to make a thread about it as the consequences can be severe...

-I would end up in jail when I figure out one of u got hurt

- You never know if that person may not end up stalking you (THERE REALLY IS CRAZY FOLKS LIKE THAT...im not kiddin bout dis one...)

-It may end up in bullying incl. becoming pressured to do something you dont want to and you becoming hurt in some way or the other

-stress

-etc


Ive been thinking about making this thread for a while but somehow I just feel like I should this morning. So folds stay safe and if something weird happens tell us.

Yeah awkward wouldn't be the word I'd use to describe that. Either way that's a good helpful tip for anyone

I wish I could like this one hundred times.

Just because someone seems nice in the open chatroom or open forum, doesn't mean they will be nice in a private conversation.
Be like a fox, quick and smart, and look for the wolf's fur under the sheep's wool.

I love you teens (and beyonds too) and would NEVER want to see anyone get hurt.

Demi, this is a very good thread to have started. :) People on here, newbies in particular, are so naive and trusting. They give out personal info w/o realizing that ANYONE will contact them. Trolls, weirdos, pedophiles.. I know giving out personal info is strongly discouraged here, but I think it should be an absolute rule.

Another good thing to remember is this is an open, searchable forum, so the posts and replies can be google searched and seen, so be very careful what you say to people in replies.

They can be searched with ANY search engine, not just Google.

The adage to remember is that the enemy comes through the front door in blue jeans and t-shirt, not necessarily in the back door with red horns and a tail.

People will employ all kinds of means to get to you in private message. Record and report. Don't take them at face value and be deceived into thinking they're sincere. Don't engage with them, no matter how hard they jump up and down to quote 'be your friend' when they're anything but sincere and totally insane. If you receive anything that can be considered a threat or anything else that's illegal, take record of it and report it to your local authorities too.
