Hey Everyone!

First off i dont use ChristianChat that much cause im always so busy but i decided tonight that i want to get more involved. My name is Allyson, im 16, and i want to lead teens to Christ. I really wanna be a youth pastor im very passionate for people around my age and i know that this is the ae we struggle the most with our walk.

I will warn you now, this is going to be like a youth lesson lol. Im calling it the summit in honor of a camp i went to last year..

WHAT IF?

there are 5 major points i want to make today:
1. What if we were healthy?
2. What if we did everything for God?
3. What if we decided to make the change?
4. What if we served?
5. What if we came alive?

1. What if we were healthy?

Being Physically Healthy, what does that mean to you? Being skinny or an athlete? Or maybe just eating right and excercising. Both examples can be correct, In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 it says, "do you not know your body is a temple of the holy spirit witihin you, whom you have from God? You are NOT YOUR OWN, for YOU were bought with a PRICE. so glorify God with your BODY." everything you do with your physical being should glorify God. Ask your self in what ways do you glorify him with your body? Maybe by eating right or bein modest. Now ask how you may not glorify him, Maybe you eat fast-food everyday or you dress where there is too much private areas showing causing others to lust after you. We MUST steward our bodies with his purpose in mind!
Being Emotionally Healthy, okay well girls, do not use being a girl as an excuse for this one lol. Proverbs 17:22 says, "a CHEERFUL heart is good medicine but a CRUSHED spirit dries up the bone." To an emotionally healthy person we must allow the lord to break strongholds in our lives. Take out some paper, or evn in your head just right down some strongholds in yourlife and compleatly sacrafice them to God.
Here is the biggie, Spiritually healthy! Psalms 119:2 says, "BLESSED are those who keep his testemonies, who seek him with thier whole heart!" You are a Spiritual being, and you must recieve a vision for your life! What sustains you? is it Family, Friends, Work, School? The best Sustainer is GOD!! He sustains the earth, (Genesis 1:11) and he is here for his people too!

2. What if we did everything for God?

1 Thessalosians 2:4, "for we speak as messangers approved by God to be entrusted with the good news our purpose is to please God not people, he alone examines the motives of our hearts." How do you think our actions or words be diffrent if we stopped trying to please our friends, our family, authorities in ourlife, or ourselves? Do you think it would make you a better person? Colossians 1:10 "then the way you live will always honor and please God, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. all the while you will grow as you learn to know God better an better." Living life to please God is NOT simple or easy, but it is worth it in the end. We get Heaven. Living by the fruits of the spirit is how we please God. Read Romans 14:17-18.

3. What if we decided to make the change?

Have you ever tried to wakeup really early, before anyone else was up and just pray? I find that the best time to connect with God s when there are no distractions. During my quiet time i really thought about living in the light. i asked myself what if i walked in the light eveyday? not just good days. but even on my wost day. I started to think.. what is light? what does light do? i came to this conclusion, light is when everything around you is exposed. the flaws in someone can be exposed and so can the good things. God wants us to look into ourselves and ask, are we in the light? are we exposing our self to him? or are we in the dark? Prepare your heart to tell God who you REALLY are! That is complete surrender to him and that is you taking the first step, ad you making the change in your life.

4. What if we served?

We should Serve. Not just God but the community we live in. What does it take to serve someone? it takes Patience, Passion, True Faith, Dedication, Willingness, Confidence, Consistancy, Lack of Pride, and above all God's help. I think to mysef often.. what area can i seve in my own life? there is church, family, friends, for some people you have school or work. Dont conform to other people's ways. If you are going to put yourself out there and say "i am a child of God and i live life for him" then really show it! Dont be quick to judge or get angry, live a life full of love for others. Everyone thinks they know the right answers but only God knows. Do not hate people for the things hey do, hate the sins. Be an enthosiastic Christian, even on the worst ay of your life people should still see God shining through you. Make people look at you and say "wow i dont know why you are always hppy but i want that." Pick someone in your family, or just someone you live with and i challenge you to serve them tonight by washing thier feet, and when you finish ask them if there is anything they need prayer for and pray together.

5. What if we came alive?

We should come alive in our enviroments. We died in ou sin and now we have come back to life to and honor God with everything we have. Listen to the song: Meant to live by Switchfoot, in this song it makes me think about the people who are not jus sayingoh yeah im a Christian but they are showing it to everyone they meet. When you are connected to God you WILL NOT strive from him... try to take off your thumb, you cant right? its because it is compleatly connected to you, thats what we should have with God, we should be one body. Dont go back to any old sins or habits because you are now alive in God! You dont need thoose things to fullfill you anymore. I encourage you to be so alive in Christ you cant stand the thought of being apart from him.

Prayer:
God, thank you so much for today and everyday, thank you for this site where Christians from everywhere can connect, i pray you help anyone who has someting they are struggleing with to just take it away, and i pray that the members of this site are safe. Thank you for everything God, Amen.

I love you all brothers and sisters!

Love,
Allyson:)

Hey Allyson!
I really loved what you wrote about our flaws being exposed in the light. It's so hard admit our weakness and be broken for God. Hiding in the dark and lying to ourselves seems so much easier. But God's light shines on all of our lives, even those parts we don't want Him to see. Through Jesus's death on the cross He has forgiven us, and we are given undeserved grace and love. That love shines love down on the dark, sinful parts of our lives, and with God's strength we can live lives full of glory for Him. It is beautiful how something as broken as we humans are can be transformed into something glorious for Christ. :)

Thank you for this thoughtful message. God bless you!

Love,
Danielle
