Sorry about my last post, I tried to make a poll and it didn't work, my bad. But anyway, I just wanted to see your guys opinion on a controversial subject about the color of Jesus. Again, I don't think it matters, and think what does matter is what he did. If you have any opinions or thoughts about what color he was, or if it doesn't matter, please leave them below. this has been on my mind recently.

The color of his skin doesn't matter however he had darker skin than white he is regularly portrayed as. He gave up his life for people of all colors
Romans 10:13 - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Acts 3:19 - Repent therefore and turn to God, so that your sins may be blotted out, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.
Ephesians 6:11 - Put on the whole armor of God, so that you can stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

I say in between because yes it may not matter now but it mattered when he was born. He had to come from a certain area on earth according to OT predictions. So this gives us and the people back then what the messiah would like.

If he came being black or white then this would of defiantly been unbelievable and totally against the line of David.

It really doesn't matter. Skin is skin and when you remove it, we're all the same underneath!

Whether he was white, black, pink, blue or green. It matters not.

If it mattered, God would have put more in the scriptures about it.

Jesus was a Jew, born in Bethlehem, and lived most of His life in a very hot country where the sun shined a lot.

So he probably had (and has) a very tanned, olive like complexion.

Yes his color did matter because if he had no color he'd be invisible!

It matters the actual colour he was, because that represented his humanity.

He was not black, because he did not have african ancestry or northern european,
    but a mediterranean colour.

Now certain groups use his colour to identify with their group, because only people
of their colour are acceptable. So white groups have a white Jesus, and black groups
have a black Jesus. But this is absurd.

It is we who have to change to who He is, and we are definately not like him as sinners.
So I am thankful He was different to me, or I might follow Him in the wrong way and think
    looks matter.

Yes,His color mattered,he was a Jew. He had olive colored skin and He had a Jewish mother and father. Jesus was a Jew and yes, that matters. Anyone who says different is a false teacher, stay away from them!

Jesus was a mediteranian man while on earth which means He was probably a shade of olive..

Of course now in heaven He looks as he is described in Revelation chapter 1..

(Revelation 1:10-16) "I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, {11} Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. {12} And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; {13} And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. {14} His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; {15} And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. {16} And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength."

So skin the color of bright shiny fine brass hows that for colour..

Really this is about Alex's continued concern over the Black Hebrews (or whatever) group that are teaching whites are hellbound and without salvation.

But, Alex, the Real core question is not Jesus physical skin color. The most quintessential thing you need to understand is that, no matter what color Jesus' skin was on earth, he was first a foremost a spiritual being. Jesus, of the earth, was just a temporary form used to accomplish the goal of salvation for all. For all.
But before physical Jesus there was still his spiritual form, which was not focused on skin color. God, and Christ, are transcended above such silly, temporal concepts. These man made segregations. Anyone trying to infuse relevance with skin color to God and faith are creating things out of thin air. They are mixing their racism with the bible to make it sound more plausible. But it is a lie. God sees your heart, not your skin.

Jesus was fully God and fully man.

As a man, He was Jewish and yes, it mattered what skin color He had as far as ancestry is concerned.

I'm not sure why the question though. Why are you even asking.

We all know that Jesus is all over the OT. The prophets foretold His birth and ancestry. Even the tribe - what His lineage would be.

    This is like a no-brainer.
    Curious, why even the question?

I read somewhere he was almost a light shade of black in his face and by the time you got to his feet he was albino white.
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

I would say yes and no. Why people think he is black is beyond me. But he isn't European white either. Jesus was Hebrew, and Hebrews do not marry outside their race. If they did, they would be called Samaritans, which were half-breed people that the Hebrews despised. Christ's lineage can be traced back to Abraham, on both sides (assuming Joseph was his biological father) There is no black in Jesus Christ.
That being said, the color of his skin should not matter to us so much as what he taught.
