    Default Intrusive blasphemous thoughts

So, essentially, I suffer from intrusive blasphemous thoughts quite a lot. However, the thoughts don't come at random, but there are some things- actions for example- that can trigger those thoughts.

I know that these thoughts are horrible, and when I know that a minor and an unimportant thing or action can trigger these thoughts, I really don't know what to do- to go ahead, do the action and, if I won't be able to resist, let the thought happen or just don't do the action.

The reason for that I think is that I have minor OCD problems.

These days many many many things can trigger these thoughts in me, because of overthinking and OCD. Therefore, I look for help.

Thank you very much for reading this.

But I want to serve God- I just don't know whether what I'm doing in terms of responses to the thoughts is right or wrong.

Christians can sometimes focus on the wrong things. God knows two things about you. 1) your mental condition 2) your heart. God knows what you're going through and why. There is a distinction between these kinds of thoughts vs a willful rebellion or blasphemy. God isn't a legalist, He understands.

This guys close to home for me, I suffer the same thing. There are two options, see if you can find any sort of medication, or do what I did, and just try to STOP. Now the first option is way easier, so you might want to do that. The the key to the second option is just to stop and move on. Hope that makes any sense

Accept the thoughts and ignore them. I have had thoughts like that before. They can do you no harm. These thoughts have no power over you. They are worthless and mean nothing so just keep going about your day. They are not an expression of who you are as a person. It would be another story all together if you enjoyed these thoughts, and deliberately thought on these thoughts , and thought about how angry you are at God , and decide to call him every curse word under the sun. If you are having bad thoughts about God because you are trying to get rid of them that is normal. It is your brain flagging them as important. Just try to not think of a white bear for 5 minutes and see what happens.

This is a common symptom of OCD, so it goes much deeper than what you are suggesting. That's like telling someone with a cold to ignore symptoms and the cold will go away.
We can all have some random, unwanted thought from time to time, but with people with OCD it is much more frequent and difficult to let go. Some can even be violent and grotesque. For example if a parent were to have this problem and get a thought to run over their own child with their car, it's difficult to escape A) the horror of thinking that would ever enter your head, and in some cases B) the visual image associated with it. While the thoughts are harmless, they are not easy to ignore.

I feel for you its the worst thing ever. . think about this first philipans 4:8 read it and than 1 RECOGNIZE the thought 2) if the thoughts against God REBUKE it and tell what it is 3) REPLACE find scripture and use it. so 1. recognize 2 rebuke 3 replace with GODS WORD. You got to use the Word rebuke the thought in JESUS NAME. i did this but stopped but it worked and also write down your battle 1) the battles: ocd than 2)when and how long it last, 3)than what happened not everything just a lot of thoughts just ughh i say lol than 4) what did you do get mad or was rejoicing through it. 5) the lesson i put a lot was USE GODS WORD. oh remmeber Jesus got you through one battle HE WILL GET YOU THROUGH IT ALLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!
see i have this thing where i feel i have to change it to a positive word ugh it works for a little awhile but gets harder. so We have to use Gods Word only. Start memorizing scripture. I hope this helps. I sometimes ignore the thought which brings liek anxiety up the roof. i hope this helps. Father God you know what we deal with we need help to renew our minds please help us bring every thought to make obience to you and gives us love and joy to fight this battle. We love you pray this in YOUR PRECIOUS SONS NAME JESUS CHRIST <33333 AMEN

Yeah, if ya want secular humanism... trying to help without the Lord Jesus Christ.

You guys need to cast the devil OUT and cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.

Just simply renew your mind and learn who you are IN CHRIST and what are the rights and privileges Jesus purchased for His people with His finished work at the Cross.

The answer is in God's promises primarily found in the New Testament.
