Another sinless perfection thread? Those who believe they live a sinless, without fault or defect, flawless, absolute perfect life 100% of the time (exactly as Jesus lived) are suffering from a terminal case of self righteousness (1 John 1:8-10).

Why do people say sinless perfection when going against those that say abstain from sin,for I believe we can abstain from sin,but I would not say sinless perfection, for we still have the ability to sin if we want, and it does not mean we might not sin,but if we do not want sin,and mean it,by the Spirit we can abstain from sin, because God will not allow us to be tempted more than we are able, and with the temptation give us a way to escape,so we are able to bear it,and the Spirit will lead us to do good, but that is if a person truly does not want sin.

The Bible says a Spirit led life will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh,so they can abstain from sin,and if led of the Spirit the fruits of the Spirit will be displayed, and not the ways of the flesh,so they are abstaining from sin.

It is not that we cannot abstain from sin,but we want to sin.

It is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, not evil and evil, but good and evil.We have a choice, and if we sin,we could of chose the good,so how do we have a excuse that we cannot abstain from sin, when even the world can abstain from sin if they want, but they are fleshy so they want to sin,not that they cannot abstain from sin,for it is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and we can choose the good, there is no excuse.

How does the world abstain from sin,for they choose what sins they like, and what sins they do not like,so they abstain from sins, and some sins they never done, and never wanted to do,so how can people say we cannot abstain from sin,for how does the world abstain from sin.

Atheist Johnny never did drugs, never cheated on his wife, and never wanted to,never cheated in school, and never cheated on his taxes, never raised a hand to anybody hating violence, and used to have a gambling problem, but gave it up,and never returned to it,and it has been three years now.

How did he abstain from these sins, how does the world abstain from sins, and some that claim Christ are going to say they cannot do it.

A Spirit led life will abstain from sin, because the person does not want to sin,and is somebody going to say that the Spirit will fail. The Spirit will not lead anybody that does not want to abstain from sin.The Spirit will only lead people that do not want to sin,and hates sin,and means it.

I find it strange that there is a group of people that are upset at people that say abstain from sin,and be Christlike, for to be Christlike is to abstain from sin, because Christ represented goodness.

How can they be upset at a group of people that say abstain from sin,and be Christlike, when they should be rejoicing that they want to abstain from sin,and be Christlike, which is better than having sin in our life, and not acting Christlike, for to hold unto sin is to not be Christlike.

What they are saying is that they do not want to be Christlike, all the while saying they love Christ, but do not like what He represents, which Jesus said if you do not like what He represents then you do not love Him.

How can you say I love My master, and then do not want to be like Him,and represent His ways, which means you are ashamed of Him.

They are ashamed of Jesus while saying they love Him,because they do not like what Jesus represents, goodness, for they do not want to represent goodness, and be Christlike, but say we cannot abstain from sin, even though God said they can,if they would stop loving sin.

They do not rejoice with those that say abstain from sin,and be Christlike, which they should, because they do not want to abstain from sin,but like it,and want to enjoy it.

They should admit we love sin,and enjoy it,instead of making excuses they cannot abstain from sin, when even the world can abstain from sin if they want.

The tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and no one is forcing us to sin,and we can choose the good, and by the Spirit we can abstain from sin.

We have no excuse, and will God say, that is alright that you did not abstain from sin,you did not have to if you did not want to,even though the Spirit was there to make this happen. He will not say that.

That's true. We're not supposed to sin. Thank you Lord Jesus for forgiveness, because I fall FAR short of that perfection required of me!

well actually the reason abstaining from sin is such a falsety is that we sin daily, even if you can't recall you sinning this day or in the past you have sinned, just as paul said in the bible"I die daily" to think you don't sin daily is foolish and no it isn't wrong to strive for perfection or to strive to be like jesus,so long as you realize that you can never attain such perfection, because if we could then why did jesus die for our sins? because none could be found without sin as likewise today noone can be found without sin,and if any claim otherwise then they are a "Liar and the Truth is not in them" as stated in the bible, abstaining thou helpful is not entirely possible for beating yourself up so to speak over sins that you do is pointless for God and Jesus both know that we 'WILL"Sin at some point no matter how hard we try to keep from sinning what matters is what we can change not what we cannot change and it's after you realize this this that you can truly start working for God because You are to admit and realize that you are sinner and that You "Do" need God's help for you cannot do what works you need to do for God by yourself for whom has power over sin let alone power to forgive sin not you,not some priest or pope, only God or likewise his son Jesus has power over sin so once you decide to go alongside them then you'll be on the right track for there is "none good no not one" nor is there "one without sin who can cast the first stone" as pertaining to judging others sins Only for God and Jesus is this possible not "US" so be so I would advise you to not force upon yourself to do that which you cannot do and "learn" from God's word before you encourage others to do as you do for "if the blind leadeth the blind both shall surely fall into the pit together" and that is not what God wishes for his children!

A Spirit led life can abstain from sin,for we do not want to sin,and hate sin,and God does not allow us to be tempted above what we are able, and will give us an escape from the temptation, and the Spirit will lead us to do good, but it is because we make the choice to not want sin.

The Spirit will only lead people that do not want sin,and hate sin,for if they hold unto sin they choose to be led of the flesh, and not the Spirit.

It is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,so we have a choice, and if we did evil there is no excuse, for we could have chosen the good.

It is not that we cannot abstain from sin,but we want to sin,for if we do not want to sin,and mean it,by the Spirit we can abstain from sin.

People that say we sin daily are at fault, for they come across as there is no way we can abstain from sin,but by the Spirit we can abstain from sin,and if they sin daily it is not because they could not abstain from sin,it is because they wanted to sin.

It is not that we cannot abstain from sin,but we want to sin,and we can choose the good.

They act as if there is no way we can abstain from sin,but we are not forced to do evil, and we can choose the good.If you do evil, the choice of good was there,so how can they have an excuse.

The people that choose to hate sin,and do not want sin, will see the truth of the Bible, and the people that like sin,and want to hold unto sin, will not see the truth of the Bible, and say they cannot abstain from sin,and sin does not affect our relationship with Christ.

The truth is the reason they say we cannot beat sin,is because they like sin,and want an excuse for their sinful behavior, and fool themselves in to thinking that they are trying to beat sin,but cannot do it,but really they want to sin,and they choose the evil, and not the good.No excuse.

To be Christlike means to represent goodness, but they do not even care to be like their Master, even though the Spirit is there to cause them to be Christlike, like the Spirit caused the man Christ Jesus to be Christlike.

They say they love Christ, but do not want to be like Him,being ashamed that He represents goodness,by their lifestyle.

2Ti 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

They do not come to the truth that they have to abstain from sin,led by the Spirit, and are lovers pf pleasures more than lovers of God.They love going by their wants, and not only their needs, and helping people with their needs. They like the world, and the things in the world. They do not separate themselves from the world,or at least not enough.

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Jesus said they cannot dwell with Him because they were workers of iniquity, they would not get rid of their sins, but thought it did not affect their relationship with Jesus.

2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Everyone that names the name of Christ has to depart from iniquity.

People that believe that we cannot abstain from sin,and sin does not affect our relationship with Christ, will hold unto sin for they think they are alright, and then it puts them in a wrong position spiritually.

Jas 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Jas 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
Jas 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Jas 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Jas 1:16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

The crown of life is given to all that love Jesus, and not a reward for some, and not others, but it is given to all who love Jesus,so it is given to all the saints, and is eternal life.

Also it states, blessed is the person that endures temptation, for when they are tried, they shall receive the crown of life, which means blessed is the person that endures temptation, and does not play on it,and beats it,and does not sin, they are the ones that shall receive the crown of life, and the ones who love Jesus.

Why,because they were not workers of iniquity, but did not want sin,and hated sin,and was led of the Spirit to accomplish their set out goal, wanting to be like Christ, their Lord and Master, whom they love dearly.

If they do not abstain from sin by the Spirit, and hold unto sin,God said that it brings forth death.

Do not be deceived,do not be deceived.

The people that like to sin,and want to hold unto sin, will not see the truth of the Bible, for they want to see an interpretation that caters to their flesh, that they cannot beat sin,and sin does not affect their relationship with Christ, for they want to enjoy the sins they enjoy.

They do not have a leg to stand on,and their fleshy interpretation has no substance, and reality, concerning truth, and there is no debating with them, for they see it according to the flesh, like the new age movement that interprets the Bible according to the flesh, that exalts people through the power of nature.

Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Gal 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Gal 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

What excuse is there, for a Spirit led life will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, they are tempted, but they do not sin,and they show the fruit of the Spirit, and no sinful ways of the flesh,so they are abstaining from sin,so they are not under the law, which means the law cannot touch them for prosecution.

People that say we cannot abstain from sin,and sin does not affect their relationship with Christ, will hold unto sin,for if they did not want sin,and hated sin, they would not believe those things, and they are under the law, which means they law can touch them for prosecution, for they are led of the flesh, and not the Spirit.

ahh to be naive again so easy to think one is right beyond all reason, sin Is an affliction and yes many sins can one keep from doing, such as profanity(cursing),being a drunkard, murder, adultery, drug misuse, stealing, greed, using God's name in vain, idolatry, not truthfully teaching the bible correctly, lust, all these one can keep from doing physically for they can be remembered and processed in the mind to not do again but as to actually doing this, it is not something you can do without God and as to hating sin what use is that? as stated in the bible "hatred only breeds more hatred" and that is where the devil can ensnare you mentally for in your hatred you think that sin is far from you when in fact you are inviting it toward you, tis better to go alongside God fearing him and thinking not of sin than to think of it as some enemy that you can fight by yourself for indeed we can choose to not do a sin again for a time but if it were such a thing that anyone could do on their own then what use was jesus dieing for our sins if we didn't "need" him and what use was there in jesus sending us the "comforter" the holy spirit if we didn't need him either or twas this all in your eyes such an easy thing for us to keep from that we somehow have had no need of and still have no need of our Father God? For tis easy to speaketh earnestly with no thought to what one hath said than to face what one hath said and "learn"where one has "erred" and be taught what is "true" not what one "thinks"is true,I pray you "learn" from what I have tried to make clear to you and that is easily summed up with this final scripture"Self Righteousness is as filthy rags" for you act as if you somehow can lead people to ward off sin without God as if it is something you just think on and you can eventually overcome it on your own,the sooner you realize that you like everyone are a sinner and fall short of the glory of God,the better, for then you just may begin to see that you put too much on yourself and that God will still help you when you grow tired of fighting this self chosen battle alone that you cannot win alone for he will never put on you more than you can bare so why do you choose to burden yourself so heavily?

There is no Ezekiel 4:21 :p

besides, in the setting (Ezekiel 3...) it is a warning to Israel.
Context, context.

We are all without perfection, though God created us in his image we sinned and fell short, but he forgave us by sinning his son to die for sin, being a christian is to strive to be like Christ, we all sin, no one is perfect (ext: Christ and God)
