Hey you all! I am new here- so pardon if i am not so elegant in posting things... I just felt led to share about the importance of positive and how to achieve that attitude.

Philippians 4:8 tells us to think on good things. I think that definitely includes positive things!

Being teens, social media, and other distractions, can clog our thoughts and put a hindrance on our faith and thought life. To combat that we need to actively strive towards a lifted attitude.

Some things we can do to stay positive are....

1) Read Scripture-- enrapture yourself in His Word and Truth and Love
2) Make a list of things you are thankful for when you notice yourself being whiny or downcast
3) Be around fellow believers-- pray with them!
4) Go on a run(builds endorphins--feel good hormones!)
5) Listen to some awesome music!

Just some quick tips-- you guys can comment more as there are so so many more!

Love in Christ Jesus

God desires for us to have joy. Joy transcends moods and positivity and allows you to have something deeper and more permanent.
These things are mood boosters, which can be nice, but the Holy Spirit is more than positivity. Such as Paul rejoicing while in prison for his faith.

Didn't say her post was bad. Just pointing out that those are temporary things and not our goal as Christians. Boosting moods and the kinds of things she mentioned have their place, but are still not what God desires for us ultimately.

Take heart, Joy & McGee,

Oftentimes, we 'professional' Christians actually think God wants us to be miserable in our "Joyfulness." I'm pretty sure it is against the by-laws of some churches to even smile.

I agree, but if we have a personal relationship with Christ and trust in him with everything then we have joy and happiness and no matter what the enemy throws at us, we continue to have a positive attitude because our peace resides in him and other people see this and desire to have it :)
