Do you think as Christians we cannot be ambitious as to maybe desiring to have a business, desiring to be successful and be wealthy but at the same time those aims are not for evil purposes like wanting to be popular and lead a sinful lifestyle because of the wealth or wanting to be seen as "The Guy" but for just living a successful nice life, wanting to have the best for your family and enjoy a comfortable life?

I wanted all that except wealthy. (Comfortably middle-class worked for me. lol) I worked for all that. I lost all that. And, in losing it, I found true comfort -- the Lord takes good care of us.

Totally not against ambitious. Was ambitious my whole life, and still am. (Can't work, but trying to get a novel published.) I recommend it to everyone, just as long as you remember if it's not to be, that is the Lord's plan too.

Two of the three servants in the bible were ambitious, invested wisely. As a result, there was a nice return on their investment for their master. The other servant hid the money in the ground out of fear. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Who wouldn't want to provide a comfortable life for their family? I know that I do.

There is nothing wrong with being wealthy... but to whom much is given, much is required.

The love of money is the root of all evil.. not money itself.

But beware.. if you become wealthy and live selfishly... you're failing a test.
