Christian Screamo Music?

I am writing a paper on Christian screamo music. I want to know where you stand in this topic.... Where do you stand?

Do you think there should not be any screamo in Christian bands? Why?

Do you think bands should continue to sing screamo songs? Why?

I'm not sure if this topic was brought up, but I didn't really want to look this up on the forums....

I'd also like to know your sources, if you used any (like a website? your friends? etc.....)...

I don't completely agree with Christian screamo music. First of all, does it bring joy to your heart when you listen to it? Honestly for me it doesn't. If it does, it's temporary joy and doesn't last more than an hour or two, then you have to listen to it again to feel happy. I guess some rock is okay, but I don't really like screamo. It creeps me out lol. Yeah, I agree it's not really music because all they do is scream. I guess my source would have to be me, because I used to listen to it a lot when I was 13

im not a fan based on the origins of screamo. i understand we need to spread the word and use every different method. but God has an image. and we were made in that image. and i feel that that stuff is a little too heavy and demonic...

I aint a screamo fan. Well i have never analysed screamo so I cant really say much about it. But if the screamo becomes a cry to God, rather than it being just shouting, that becomes really cool! So... I guess i am for it, as long as it is a cry to God.

can i just say im new to this whole thing but i used to be a regular on a differant forum. right now lets get to the point!

this is freaking awsome! because for 1. it is reaching out to the young people who need god the most. and if you have normal churchy hymes they wont even want to know, but if you give them something to do with god that relates to them they will listen. also if god is guiding you though your songs then why the hell not ?! i think its great what your doing

I think it is fine. DOnt listen to mumbo jumbo saying it is bad and such. It is the Lyrics that matter.

Even though I dont like Scremo or too hard of rock (like I love skillet but y ou cant understand them live lol. I love their youtube and such videos though)

If you mean bands like skillet and red; then no I don't like screamo. and never will be. It doesn't really like bring out what God is. in other words there is more of the world in the songs that there is God. My source me and my uncle we used to listen to screamo bout 2 years ago.

OMG!!!! you guys don't even know what SCREAMO is!! it's sooo annoying. Screamo is emo music that is normally accompanied by screaming. Not all music that is accompanied by screaming is SCREAMO!!! can you get that in your head please??. Normally music like hardcore, post hardcore, death metal, metal core, thrash metal, some hard rock, and grindcore have screaming in it. There are christian bands like sleeping giant (a hardcore band) that worships God in their concerts WITH hardcore music. YouTube - Oh Praise Him By: Sleeping Giant.

I love screamo! its awesome! its another way prazing God! i personally dont like hymns and old churchy music (not that i hate it! im just saying its not my taste) the bands like for today and demon hunter r awesome. when i listen to it, it gives me a fire for God you know? its funny to see everyones opinions on it but im NOT discarding anyones opinion here. but Christian metal screamo ISNT evil or anything like that. but sometime i do need to listen to something different.... sometimes.. hehe but yeah i love it

I'm in a Music Business class at college. These guys were talking and they aren't Christian and they were talking about Christian Heavy Metal. They were like "Yeah man, seriously I didn't even know it was Christian and then this guy was like. Dude, You're listening to Christian Metal? And I was like, It's Christian?"

It's too bad that "Christian" music these days is covered up by a whole bunch of noise to where you can't even tell if it's Christian or not. And it's getting even worse now to where Jesus' name isn't even in the lyrics, so it could be music praising Budah or Allah for all I know. It doesn't even sound like praise anymore, just mad grunting, screaming people.

Its wrong. Its not wrong cuz its against god or any nonsense like that its just wrong, Christians shouldnt make screamo music or heavy metal or rock or death metal... or anything with electrical instruments its against nature.

I'm for the preaching that they're doing. Preaching in any situation is a good thing but the music and the image Does matter and it's not a Godly image.
