Here are the Lyrics, see if you can find a meaning to it
YouTube - ‪Elemental Wrath- Becoming The Archetype‬‏

Deep within the ocean's keep
There lies a corpse in endless sleep
A searchlight pierces the abyss
And the darkness groans in great distress
I am the ocean
Keeper of every darkened soul
The never ending throat of death
That swallows continents whole
Now the ground is shaking
Midst the grinding gears
Dead for the taking
An iron hand appears
Moving up through time and space
Sun and sky reveal their face
A shock runs though the atmosphere
The wrath of air awakens here
I am the blackened sky
Waters quake beneath my hand
I am the end of nations
That rains death upon the land
There is a void where the heart should be
But a stone has held its place
While there is likeness of the human form
No existence lights his face
Take this heart if you'd survive
The coming wrath
Now come alive
All the earth is silent
The universe has shifted
Creation holds is breath
As the curse of death is lifted

I think 'How Great Thou Art - Becoming the Archetype' is better. But also you were reffering KSE a metalcore band as a band that gives you more hope than christian music.

Texas in July is one of my absolute most favorite bands!
they sound almost like every metalcore band out there, very genetic, i cant listen to them...i prefer either melodic death metal, groove metal or plain Heavy Metal bands

These are the bands i Mostly listen (All Christians)

As i Lay Dying- Metalcore/ Thrash Metal (my favorite Christian band)
Becoming the Archetype- Progressive Death Metal ( Very mature musicians)
The Showdown- Groove/ Thrash Metal
Miseration- Death Metal
Stryper- Glam Metal
Blessed by A Broken Heart- Glamcore ( By far one of the best acts out there)
Living Sacrifice- Groove
Impending Doom- Deathcore
War of Ages- Metalcore/ Heavy metal
Demon Hunter- Metalcore/ Thrash (dont really like them)
As They Sleep- Heavy Metal
Extol- Melodic Death
Maylene and the Sons of Disaster Hard Rock/ Southern

Haha, I'm the exact opposite. I'm more into metalcore and other core subgenres, and feel like those you listed are a bit generic.
Underoath (will always be my favorite, even with their newest album change)
Texas In July
To Speak of Wolves
Inhale Exhale
I am Alpha and Omega
Fallstar
For Today
Mychildren Mybride
Oh, Sleeper
The Devil Wears Prada
Showbread (a little off in this group. Lol)
...are all my favorites.

But I can agree with you on Maylene and The Sons of Disaster and Impending Doom

generic?? woman, have you heard their music? i hate generic music, if a band sounds like another one, i wont listen to it...metalcore is the most generic, since the patter is the same, scream during verses and clean and light singing during chorus (exept for the TDWP since they dont really have choruses) and the guitars have the same patterns:

0 0 00 0 0 0 00 0 0 0 0
2 4 3 4 2 4 3 2 4 4

this is how a metalcore riff looks like, look up that tabs of any song by any metalcore band and this is how it will look like, palm muted six string, open note on the second string...most of the songs have palm mutes all over it and barely have any solos

and since i believe you wont look at the tabs of any band

i got one here: Building the Nations by Oh Sleeper

Building The Nations tab by Oh Sleeper @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

as you can see
the ceros with dots means palm muted six strings and the bottom notes are power chords...so the songs goes like this, palm mute, chord, palm mute, chord, palm mute
i had to prove you wrong, sorry =[

Hey, hey, hey now. It's just a difference in tastes! Lol
It doesn't matter who you are, if it's something you don't like and don't listen to enough to notice differences, you'll think it's generic. No, big. You prefer one, I prefer another.
Sheesh. (;

You don't have to mentions tabs, I know nothing about it. I mean, I get the point you're trying to prove though.

lol you can do it with literally any band. Seriously though, why the assumption that Christians are unaware of the mainstream? I know lots of people on this forum listen exclusively to Christian music, but I don't think that's typical.

Excuse me for trying to be reasonable.
Oh, yes, you're choice of music is so superior to mine. That's what you wanted, right?

Pantera was mainstream. They topped the charts.

Can a band NOT be mainstream and still peak at #1 on Billboard? No. It means they have major distribution and lots of radio support.

Mouth For War
This Love
Cowboys From Hell
Walk
Planet Caravan

That's all of the regularly played radio songs I could name off the top of my head. There may be one other.

wow, you didnt care what listened too, you called it "generic" which was an insult as a musician...don't get mad, there is music thats better than others thats a given, but learning to accept that you listen to the ones that arent as good is the hard part...i listen to the best of the best and i always try find out who they are. Pantera is my favorite band, but there are many that are way better than they were..iron maiden, probably stryper, Dio, Judas Priest, Pink Floyd, Megadeth, anthrax, dream theater, Led zeppelin.

metalcore is a generic sub genre, about 80% of it is, there are some that stand aot and are better than every other band...august burns red, Killswitch engage, Zao (the creator of metalcore), all that remains, as i lay dying

tip for the future if you dont know the subject well, dont talk about it or you will look bad

thats the first rule that was taught to me in college (the actual rule has harsher words)
i can talk about music because im studying music, i will not talk in subjects of fashion, trends, criminal justice, IT, grammar and math because i know very little to nothing on them
