So it's a fundamentalist Bible church? Why don't you just call yourself a Christian?

A christian(believer) is not a Pentecostal! Pentecost actually means 50( 50 days after Passover). so on the day of Pentecost( the Jewish celebration) the believers were in the upper room waiting for the coming of the Holy Ghost( Acts 1:13-14). They were not participating in the celebration. thus to say that you are a Pentecostal is a mis normal; you are a christian, the one in Whom The God head duels in His fullness, bodily( Col 1:9-10)

This is a FIVE year old thread, the OP and several posters are no longer here.. WHY do people keep pulling zombie threads forward? They're annoying and push the more current threads to the back pages.

Very astute observation. I had never considered that.

Full gospel attempts to imply a more holistic teaching. Claiming an event even as important as baptism (the Baptists) or Pentecost (pentecostals) is by definition sectarian. The Seventh Day Adventists often fall into this category - again despite good intentions, their preaching and preachers tend to be narrowly focused (myopic) - in this case on prophecy versus a gospel of (although they tend to practice) repentance and right living. Holy implies Holistic : be he holy for I am holy - not calvinistic or judgmental, don't fixate on judgment, punishment and hell and forsake or lose focus on this gospel of repentance and right living. Likewise the greasy graced religions. It's a churchianity - identity view problem to not be Holistic.

Dear lady Blue, permit me to say that we are not here just to exchanged ideas amongst ourselves. This site( Christian chat) i believe was created under divine instructions. Thus we are here under the direct control and check of the Holy Spirit! So if there's there is a thread written (even if it was 10 yrs ago), and the Holy Spirit wants that comments should still be made in respect to the said thread, for the edification of the body of Christ, we will not hesitate to do just that. we should not loose sight of the fact that the Spirit of Grace is present and active even as we fellowship on here. blessed

"Full Gospel" has, traditionally, just been shorthand for "Fundamentally Legalistic."

To an extent, I agree with you. But it is sometimes helpful to look at both the dates of previous posts and whether or not the whole thread ever went anywhere before resurrecting it.

If it was just a bust to begin with, and you really don't plan to present anything that will substantially enlighten us on the subject, or illuminate some new revelation.... it is often best to let sleeping dogs lie.

Or even better, just start a new thread on the subject, instead of going 300 pages back and pulling a 5 year old thread forward..

I made a complaint about this behaviour to a moderator. I've seen continuous tantrums from this non mod individual when innocent members, new and otherwise, comment on dated threads. I've addressed it before and it's continued on. Please note it's official: members have the right to comment on older threads as is evidenced here:

Well, I'm not the only one who says that, so I guess I'm not alone in my "tantrums".. lol.. Several others here also remark that zombie threads shouldn't be pulled forward, especially if someone is replying to a banned poster or a poster that isn't here anymore. Why not just start a new thread instead? Alot easier and faster than searching through 300 pages of old zombie threads.. JMO
