Alright so here's my opinion on what everyone is saying. First I want to thank all of you who are offering encouragement and prayers. I genuinely appreciate it. Next I want to say I believe Honosexuality is a sin and for those of you who don't believe it is, I would highly advise you to seek out what God really says before telling me to accept it. Let's face it, very few of us actually base our opinions on scripture (I'm guilty of not basing certain things on it). Some do but don't know how to back it up but others don't and try and pretend to back it with scripture taken out if context. Before someone says something else I want you to know that last night God really broke my heart about this. I don't claim to hear God all the time but in my time of struggle he revealed to me where He is in all of this. He is by my side helping me to overcome this. He is a God of Love but I agree with Timbo, there is a difference between love and lust. God does place in our hearts love for the same gender. We ourselves choose to believe that. Justin, God doesn't convict us when we do something good, He convicts when we do something evil. If you haven't ever felt God convict then you've hardened your heart to his voice.
@ mrmephit, You cannot justify homosexuality because of all the unhappy heterosexual couples in the world. You cannot rationalize what God has said about it. I don't know exactly why there are so many straight couples who aren't happy and im not going to pretend like I do. I have no experience with the subject but all I know is when I fall into temptation God really does convict my heart. Say what you want about it being a psychological reaction to what everyone has told me but I'm going to stay strong in my faith knowing that God would not convict me if it was right.

What People DO NOT understand, is: WE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE LED BY OUR FEELINGS!!!!!

Tlite, you personally think it's wrong and you know what God says about it, so don't let other people tell you otherwise. You can't change the Word of God. You can't read it and pick up the things you like and ignore the things you don't like.

God didn't make you gay. God doesn't make people gay. The devil attacks, where he has most access to. Your heart, your feelings.
People try to tell you nowadays (sadly even christians) that you have to be ok with yourself and you have to feel comfortable and how important your feelings are. The Bible tells us that the heart is deceitful. You can't trust your feelings.
But you can trust God, when he says you're valuable and that he loves you.

God wants you to walk in his light. To shine His light, to submit to him and obey him. You can't change the things God says about some topics.
So pray and get closer to God. Ask Jesus for forgiveness and stand up infront of the devil and tell him that he has no power over you anymore. That he can't accuse you anymore of something that has been nailed to the cross with our precious Jesus Christ.

Lets compare this to the bible and see what it says.

Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more kindness and forgiveness? 2 Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? Romans 6:1-2
1 John 1:6-9

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." (NIV).
Romans 1:26-27 - "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."

I'll be praying for you! And remember everybody goes through different temptations, but even if you are tempted its not sinning. Just give that temptation and that wrong thought over to God! I don't believe that people are made gay, but that its a flesh desire, and wordly. I believe that even though it may seem impossible to over come, God is with you, and can help you through it. Because nothing is impossible with God...and when you give everything to God and lay down your life before Him, He will lead you in the right direction. You just have to make that commitment to follow Him, whole heartedly, and completely devotedly, and BAM He will do the rest :)
