I want to do something as a Christian so I thought I'd just start here at christianchat.com and maybe meet some cool people who also want to do something for Jesus or just pray with someone else and read the Bible. I really want to see God work in someone else's life, and maybe mine. So far in my life I haven't seen it happen, but recently I just saw the story about the kid who almost drowned and how his friends and parents prayed for him and something happened. If anyone else wants to see something happen in their lives or they feel like their stuck, just message me.

I'm in the same boat. Except, there's not much to do in the small town that I live in (population of like....200)

i would love to live in a town. right now I live in the worst neighborhood on earth. not crime wise. just the people. all the teens smoke/drink/have sex etc. i'm homeschooled so i don't go to the same school as them which is a good thing i guess. haha. and the adults are so annoying. they're the most unfriendliest people you would ever meet, and we've been living in the same neighborhood for 14 years... yep. we're basically stuck here. lol.

I think prayer is really powerful. I don't really know how it works, but I think if more than one person prays, God listens. I mean God listens if one person prays, but he listens even more if two pray. haha. You can explain it to me if you know more about it, but basically I need prayer. We all need prayer, I think. so if you want me to pray for you, and if any of you want to pray for me, I'd be really grateful. I think prayer can get us out of this situation. We've just gotta have a little faith.

Also, I really don't understand how there's not a single Christian teen in my neighborhood. It's incredible, but I shouldn't find that very amazing. I have a really bad highschool. Everyone there is insane.

Maybe you guys should try to do some public or community service? There's NOTHING that makes me feel God more than spreading his love around.

How do you know you won't be harden to never go back? That's not such a great plan, that is a really high risk factor..actually worse. I can think of some things you guys could do not to get bored. When we try to do what God wants us to do, it doesn't always get boring.

It's like marriage you guys.....you get the good feelings and giggly feelings first but as time goes by you won't always feel that way about your spouse. Don't give up on God, keep trying!!! You might not know what you are missing once gone! Don't you love God no matter what? If so that means even in the bad times. You can't tell me you love God and only want the good and "joyous" time and not the bad.

In marriage you are suppose to be devoted in the good and bad, in the blessed and the worst, the exiting and the boring. You guys haven't seen much as a Christian have you? I mean I am not special or anything but believe me there is stuff you would be exited about that you might not have experienced.

Crazy4GODWrod, No I have not, but I'm excited to see what God has in store for me! Boredom is a terrible thing. haha. I know God has answered my prayers by showing me this website though. I love this website! and I love the people in it! I was in chat the other day, and the people in there weren't afraid to pray out loud! It's awesome! Whoever made this website should know that it's a real blessing. Of course, I'm not going to stop praying, and I hope none of you stop. I think God has more in store for me and you. So don't stop praying. Prayer is powerful, because the one who's listening is All-Powerful, and I think an all-powerful God would like us to do a little bit more than what we're doing now.

I teach on Sundays but I feel as though I can and supposed to do sooo much more. One of the factors that's kinda holding me back may be my age; I can't drive yet or anything and I'm not free from the orders of my mom:(

How can we who have died to sin live in sin? and after having been washed in the blood of Christ can you just remove it form yourself? Also Hebrews says that for those who have heard the word and tasted the divine nature cannot be brought into the faith after having rejected it

Just curious how many of you guys attend church and/or have a Christian youth group you belong to?

I go to church in a really small town and we only have like 2 people who regularly attend around the ages of the people posting here (15ish). You have me curious whether there are more out there that WANT to be more involved and active for Christ, but just can't for whatever reason.

How would you suggest a small country church reach out to kids your age?

I live in a small town in WV and the church I attend has around 15 or so kids yet no significant youth group. Our church organizes monthly youth activities so we may fellowship wth one another..but no one shows up. Our preacher hosted a pool party at his house and invited all the youth AND the congregtion out... 2 adults showed up and only 5 kids came including me. Despite the showing, everyone had a blast.

But pertaining to your question, I think the most important part of getting kids to attend is breaking through to the parents of how important being brought up in a church really is. Not only attending church services but being active in youth activities. It's not the sermons that will attract majority of the kids, it will be fellowshipping in the Lord while having fun. If you can show that I believe more kids will attend. This is just my opinion though.
