I'm not sure exactly what the rules are here about bumping threads (if what I'm doing is considered against the rules here please notify me and forgive me), so bear with me. When I read about "why God hasn't healed my sickness", I think of this: Isaiah 53:5 - "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed." The last statement is also stated in 1st Peter 2:24. I take this verse at face value and believe that He died on the cross not just for our sins, but also for our sicknesses, as He bore them on the cross as well. This isn't widely believed or received, and I can understand that as it goes against what has been taught, but I figured I'd share this. I have more on this, but I'll only say that unless other people want to know more.

you pray that the next hour of your life will go by without you being killed. and it does. does that mean that god answered your prayer? you prayed to learn to ride a bike, the you went out, and got taught how to ride a bike later that day. god did not guide your every step onto that bike. you did it yourself. the fact is, even if you didn't prey to god, you would probably still have leanred to ride the bike. or, if you truly do that that divine connection, preay for a cure for cancer, or an end to war.
