Hmm not really into that style of music, but about a month ago I actually saw the The Night of the Living Dead that the second song played clips from. Old versions of movies like The Innocents, The Cat People, Wolfman, Dracula, etc. always fascinated me, but they kind of mess with my head after a while haha. Anyways I'm done rambling.
btw Chicago totally rocks!

It's cool to see that your into that stuff! I like the original 1968 Night of the Living Dead. I've actually met George A. Romero a few times. He's the writer and director of those films. Very nice man.

The cool thing about him and those "dead" films are the social commentary! A lot of people don't always notice it, but its fun because you have the scares and the zombies and the gore, which make it a h rror flick, but it goes a little deeper into showing how people get along with one another and often comments on the political atmosphere at the time.

1968 was a VERY racist time! Romero had the guts (no pun intended!) to cast a black actor as the lead role!

The zombies arent even important. They are almost an after thought. You can replace them with any natural disaster...like the hurricanes in New Orleans for example. It shows the cabin fever like insanity that happens with people. The racisms. The sexism. The violence. This group of people could have easily survived had they just let their ego's go and tried getting along with one another.

In the 1991 remake, they changed Barbara's character to a tough woman instead of the sort of pathetic version in the original film. She became the smartest and most willing to survival and rational of the whole group. And she did indeed survive.

Dawn of the Dead was sort of about consumerism and ratings.

Land of the Dead was about President Bush and his administration.

Those are all great films.

My favorite is Day of the Dead, which looks into psychology and morality and also shows a heirarchy of classes between the military and scientists.

A lot to think about in these films!

Haha lol "had the guts." That was a good one. Anyways yeah I actually saw the 1968 version. Never seen the new version. That's interesting how you pointed out the different social and political aspects of the movie. I never noticed that before. I haven't really seen many of Romero's films, that I can think of. We get this channel called TCM that has alot classics so I've seen alot of the oldy oldy horror movies. Them was a creepy movie lol. I used to have nightmares about bugs after watching that.

It is interesting though to look at the deeper meanings and symbolisms behind movies. It's neat too look at movies like The Lord of the Rings or others where the whole story is one giant allegory. I'm just so amazed at how an author or movie producer can incorporate so many symbols and hidden meanings into one series of books or movies. In a way, it's kind of like you get a glimpse into the mind of the writer. Like if you read (or watch the movies of for lazy people like me)works by Tolkien or C.S. Lewis you can see their political, moral, and spiritual views . On the other hand, when you read works by Jack London, Poe, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and others you get a totally different perspective and begin to understand how those author thought and viewed life. I just find it incredibly fascinating. Anyways I better stop rambling lol.

No I completely agree! You seem like a really cool person. I'm glad you could talk about those things. I'm not a huge Lord of the Rings fan, but I've seen the movies...But maybe I missed the social commentary...what was in in particular about that film? Just curious.

It wasnt until I saw Star Wars episode 3 that I actually noticed a lot of biblical references. I remember sitting in the theater amazed...like I never noticed how many parralells there are between that and Revelations in The Bible...not sure if it was just that film, or if all of them in the series have biblical tones about them. Either way it was a pretty good movie.

It reminded me of the coming to power of an Anti Christ (Darth Vaders human character) and the fall of the Jedi union (which are the good guys in the movie and represent the downfall of christianity at the end times?) there are others symbolisms in it as well...I havnt seen the movie in awhile so this is just off of memory.

Yeah I'm really into films. I love it all. I have a huge horror collection, but I'll watch pretty much anything. My favorite films are about anti-heroes and powerful films that make you question things. A few off the top of my head would be Robert DeNiro's portrayal of Travis in Taxi Driver...is he good or bad? He saves the prostitutes life and also attempts to assasinate the president. Thats a great film if you havnt seen it. Another one of my favorites is Natural Born Killers with Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis. That is a very violent film, so don't watch it with the kiddies around! But it's an excellent excellent film!!! I really truly love it. Probably my all time favorite. It's not exactly a horror film...it's probably pretty hard to categorize... It's about two serial killers on the run from the law...but the law is very corrupt and the media is evil...making the killers heroes and celebrities. The start getting a fan base. It's also a love story and very much in the likes of Romeo and Juliette. A must see! Tarantino wrote the script and it was directed by Oliver Stone. A lot of good people working on it.

I also love the classics A Clockwork Orange by Stanley Kubrick and a b/w film called Freaks by Todd Browning. Freaks is about a sideshow in the circus with a bunch of deformed people that are made fun of by the normals. They get revenge by turning the star of the show into a chicken/human freak. lol These films are loaded with great messages of empowerment. Clockwork Orange is also extremely violent and questions the government and is a very powerful story. If your into that kind of thing anyway.

It's not political or anything, but I'm greatly anticipating Rob Zombie's new film, The Lords of Salem. He's one of my favorite musicians and directors. Very talented man. He's proving to be a fantastic horror director. Check out Devil's Rejects. That's a beautiful film of his!

But yeah thanks for taking the time to check that band out though! He's one of my favorite musicians. Also has a country/outlaw band called Bourbon Crow. Talented guy. More people should know his name. Mainly sings of horror films and what not in his solo act. He also has a side project with Joey Jordison of SLipknot called Murderdolls which are pretty good.

Are you into ROb Zombie or Alice Cooper? What is some of your favorite bands?

Yeah with Lord of the Rings there's alot of different symbols. I don't remember exactly all of them, but it makes alot of references to the Bible with its good vs. evil theme. Like the dark riders at the beginning I think make reference to something in Revelation. Idk I'd have to watch it again.

I love Star Wars! My favorite episode is the 3rd one where Ankin turns into Darth Vader..........not sure if that's a good or bad thing lol. I always get the shivers at the end where they put the mask on, and he takes the first breath through his mask. I haven't been able to figure out what the symbolism is in that movie and, I guess, the series. I thought it was interesting at the one point in the movie where Obiwan is talking to Ankin, and Anikin says "if you're not for me you're against me" and the Obiwan responds with saying "only a sith deals in absolutes." The idea that there are no absolutes contradicts the Bible yet the good guy Obiwan says there are no absolutes. I think the whole "force be with you" is wicca if I remember right. So I'm thinking Star Wars was written from a new age perspective or something. Hmm yeah I don't know I'm not really sure what type of perspective and views the writers and producers were coming from so it kind of confuses me what the writers and producers were trying to make reference to with the different symbols. Anyways I'm starting to confuse myself.

I've seen Freaks a few times. That was interesting. That movie (I'm thinking of the one made in the '30s, not sure if they made any later versions) was so different from other movies of the time. The issues it deals with were really controversial when you think about it. The movie showed that even though those people were different, they were just as human as everyone else and had emotions and a mind just like everyone else.

I haven't seen too many of the real recent horror movies because I'm the last one to have TV rights lol. I've actually never seen anything by Rob Zombie or Alice Cooper. I'm kind of loner so I'm not really in the social loop lol. I don't know that I have any favorite bands. I was a little bit into screamo/heavy metal ages ago, but not too much now. I guess I like a variety of music ranging from POD to Enya to mainstream secular and Christian bands so yeah just about everything. I'm kind of strange haha.

What are your favorite bands?

Of course, at the end of the day, these films are all just for entertainment. lol you could drive yourself crazy if you sit there and just dwell on what the messages may or may not be. If you like the movie, that's all that counts! Catching little bits of things that the creative writer/director might throw in for the observant fan is just a bonus. And it's all speculation. It's up to interpretation. There is no right or wrong answer. If you see a message in a certain film that is good to you, then that is great in of itself!

Of course in The Bible there are absolutes...but is EVERYTHING absolute? I do feel that some things are up to the individual. Like a big one with some christians is about drinking alcohol. Some feel it is ok and some don't. Those are like grey areas where maybe there is no right or wrong answer. It's just up to the individual to decide for themselves.

So you could look at that line from Star Wars like that. I'm really not sure if any of the other Star Wars films have any messages or anything...I just remember noticing subtle little details that reminded me of some biblical events.

I've been meaning to watch those again. Havent seen them in awhile and I was going to purchase the new blu ray box set they released by refrained from doing so after reading reviews that Lucas changed a bunch of things from the original edits lol So..not sure if I want that version or not.

I never thought of "the force be with you" as a Wicca concept. I suppose it could be. Honestly, being raised in a Catholic household and going to many many masses in my day where they have scripted rituals, I sort of always thought it could very well be kind of a metaphor for christianity. It the phrase "may the force be with you" always reminded me of the Catholic phrase "may the Lord be with you"...and everyone would respond "And also with you".

Like I said, there probably is no right or wrong answer. A witch might be able to take certain aspects from it just as a christian could or anyone. They arent religious movies, per sae, so there i no right or wrong answer.

Rob Zombie is a musician, film maker, writer, director...very talented guy. Makes secular music/films

I always try to recommend Alice Cooper to any christian looking to increase their cd collection with christian rock music. A lot of the younger people don't even know who he is. But he's a music legend. Just got inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, actually.

His newer stuff basically IS christian music. Even though they don't promote as that. I mean, I don't think you would find his cds in a christian store...he's considered a mainstream rock act....Like P.O.D but I think he's more talented than most musicians because he gives you a little more for you buck. While other christian bands might just do worship songs, Alice Cooper is a story teller and makes concept albums. He'll invent characters and sing lyrics from their perspective. Some songs are from completely evil perspectives, but they get what they deserve in the end. You almost have to listen to the albun all the way through to get the whole story...it's like a book; You wouldnt just start reading from any random chapter, you'd actually want to really hear it from begining to end to understand whats going on...Kind of like Pink Floyd's The Wall.

I'd like for everyone into christian hard rock music to get his 2 albums Brutal Planet and Dragon Town. They are sort of companion pieces...not direct sequels but they are related. Dragon Town is of course a metaphor for Hell. They are all great and very dark and industrial music with very grim lyrics if your into that kind of thing. Yet, still very much christian. On those two albums, the female back up vocals are from like an angel's perspective. And Alice will usually take the role of a villain. It's quite interesting and fun actually.

Here's one of my favorites from DragonTown.

Alice Cooper - Sister Sara - YouTube

It's about a nun that was seduced by her own carnal pleasures and brings up a valid point about how some people that think they are saved and go through life thinking they have a free ticket into heaven because of their good deeds or whatever, dont.

But yeah if you have time check out those 2 albums and try to look up all the lyrics and read along with the vocals. He's a great lyricist.

I don't really listen to much christian music. But Alice Cooper is one that I really love. I like a few POD songs. Most of the stuff I like, people on this site probably wouldnt like. I really like Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Wednesday 13, Dope, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, Ozzy, a lot of old 60's and 70's stuff. I like KoRn and Slipknot is ok. I don't like a lot of new new stuff. Can't really get into much after about the year 2000. The last decade I really enjoyed from music was like the 90s. But I like some pop bands that are new like Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, and Katy Perry.

I don't want you to get sick of hearing the name or anything lol but I just wanted to mention thats another thing I really admire and respect about Alice Cooper: He did a song with Kesha on his new album. I know a lot of christians are against people like her, but he doesnt judge. He can still appreciate her vocal talent. Even if he doesnt agree with her on a philosophical/spiritual level, he's down to earth enough to realize that everyone has their own way whether he agree's with it or not. He even did a duet with Marilyn Manson at show once during the song Sweet Dreams. He's not afraid to talk and deal with peope different than him.

I don't consider myself a christian anymore. And for awhile I had a lot of pent up anger and hatred towards it actually because of things that happened to me and other reasons. But it's people like Alice Cooper that make me find ways to enjoy. I'm not that stubborn where I would completely ignore anything religious anymore, even though I was like that just a few short years ago. lol you might say that he's helped me to appreciate christianity a bit more now!

I had never heard of Alice Cooper before, but I looked him up online and he actually had a pretty interesting life. The song Sister Sara that you put up and some of his other songs like Sweet Dreams that I'm listening to have, like you said, some pretty deep and emotional lyrics. His songs do have more of a story to them than alot of modern songs which just.........idk sometimes tend to be kind of shallow I guess.

I don't get really into the dark, screamo/heavy metal too much, but I do listen to it sometimes. I know some Christians say that some of those types of music are demonic and everything, but.....idk. I do really like P.O.D. I just have found that after a while of listening to the dark stuff I start feeling down and depressed, but I do know of people who absolutely love to listen to heavy metal or whatever all the time because it makes them feel better. That's neat you like music from the 60's and 70's though. I always find it interesting to listen to older music because the beats and styles were different then. I always liked music from the 90's like N Sync.

But yeah I'm kind of at a loss for words because I'm not really sure where I stand on alot of religious issues. I do believe in God, but................idk it's kind of complicated. I have tried to reject God in the past, but I always came back. I just could never honestly say that I didn't believe in God. So yeah I'm still trying to figure alot of stuff out in that area.

I don't mean to be nosy or anything, and you don't have to answer if you don't want to; but what happened and what things caused you to have so much anger?

Anyways, you've been really cool to talk to

Cooper didnt write Sweet Dreams. It was first performed by The Eurythmics in the 80s and then Manson made it popular again in the 90s with his cover version. Cooper shared the stage with Manson in 2007 during a performance of the song..which was kind of a legendary moment. Two completely different generations of shock rock legends sharing the stage...Amazing performance!

Yeah the music I was referring to from the 90s was definately different than maybe what you were thinking lol. I wasnt talking about bands like Nsync, Backstreet Boys, Britny Spears, etc... I meant bands like KoRn, Rob Zombie, Disturbed, Dope, NIN, Tool, Manson, Slipknot, etc.. I should have said 90s style rock/industrial. Not really pop.

I think there is a difference between "dark music" and "depressing" music. I don't like sad songs either. I realy don't understand why anyone would want to listen to it. I've actually kind of feel that way about some christians songs...it's not up beat and fun sounding, more about humility, meek, and sacrifice. I like self-empowering songs...I.E. "We're Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister

About your religious problems...As I said, I sort of am the same way. I'll answer your question in the next paragraph, but right now I just wanted to ask/acknowledge something you said. And please, don't take this as being disrespectful, it's simply a question to maybe open your mind and view this topic in a different way. So here is my comment: You said you always ended up coming back to "God" knowing that he exists even when you tried to disbelieve in him. How are you certain it's the christian God? There has been a lot of "God's" throughout history. You've come to a point where you are certain something exists beyond us (humans), but why make the leap to Christianity? Had you been born in Iraq, there is a good chance you could have been raised Muslim. In which case that would be the religion you would be confused about. Anyway. My point was just that you should study your confusion away maybe? Read about everything. Don't settle on the one religion that was simply exposed to you from childhood. I'm about to buy the Book of Mormon just out of curiosity and interest in what mormons believe. I find religion fascinating. Which perhaps leads into what you asked me:

"I don't mean to be nosy or anything, and you don't have to answer if you don't want to; but what happened and what things caused you to have so much anger? "

Just out of curiosity, what did I say that lead you to believe that I have anger? Or that I am angry about anything? I don't lose sleep over anything

...Oh nevermind. I see the quote that you must be referring to. I said a few posts back that I used to have "pent up anger/hatred"

Well, I don't anymore. I mean, I still get frusterated and annoyed by certain aspects of Christianity. All religion actually. Not really one particular religion.

I was sort of abused and bullied by everyone in my christian grade school (including teachers). But I was really shy and naive back then and didnt really realize how badly mistreated I was. It was a small school and it was really all I ever known. I thought it was normal. Then I went to public highschool and had the time of my life! People treated me with respect. People were nice. I didnt do anything to deserve the way I was treated in grade school. It might sound kind of stupid, but bullying can REALLY have a major affect on children. They don't realize at the time how much inpact it can make on the victims life. But my life is forever changed. I have sort of an anxiety about school. It's actually quite sad. I really love learning. But I HATE school. They really screwed me up.

I could sit here and write pages and pages of stories....I could write a book on my life. I've had a really interesting one so far. But I won't take all your time up with that. So anyway, knowing what I said above, it's not unreasonable to see how a young teen would really rebel and just hate everything associated with these terrible people. Including religion. Most teens go through a rebellous phase. Nothing strange there.

BUT. Then I had an intelligence awakening. I researched A LOT of information on a lot of religions. I pretty much find them all to be a bit crazy. I see that no one can agree. And everyone thinks THEY are right. So much to the point of pretentiousness and...most religions promote the idea of peace, but they all kind of secretely, unconsciously hate eachother.

I'm generalizing of course. Not ALL religious people are bad. The ones that are don't even really know it. It's subconscious as I said....Even on this site, I notice the one thread on "Are Muslims Evil"? or something of that nature. A lot of christians hate muslims. And Jews. And every other religion because it does not lead to "Jesus Christ the Lord (insert more rehearsed memorized biblical phrases here)

Joseph Smith of the Mormons is the same way. And you have Mohammed. And countless of other ones.

Religious people tend to be so brainwashed by their own "morality" that they want to force feed it on others. Like the abortion debate. It's one thing to not believe in doing something...or if something is against your personal morals. That's fine. But what about people that disagree with you? Why force your opinion on other people?

Abortion, Stem Cell Research, etc... Again, this is not singling out christians...all relgions want to force it on other people...it's in the job description. You need to save as many souls as possible.

What about strip clubs? most religions think that is offensive or wrong. So lets shut down all the pornography sites and places. What is morality and where does it come from? Is it universal or is it subjective?

Of course it's subjective!!! Everyone had different standards of right and wrong anyway and no one can agree anyway, not to mention the effects of the times. Yesterdays bad guys are tomorrows hero's and vice versa.

I just think everyone is really confused and brainwashed and no one is educated. I really admire one who looks into multiple things. But most religious people are only of that faith because that is how they were raised and they never bothered to question it.

I see mass delusion and paranoia. I see superstition that of almost of middle ages standards! People saying avoid Halloween like the plague because it's evil! C'mon! You can make ANYTHING evil. Christmas is evil. What if some lunatic goes around killing people on christmas? You can make anything a bad thing, or a good thing. But there is a certain mass delusion as I said with many religious folk.

Muslims making women dress how they do. Snake charmers.

Some kid died in Japan not long ago from a failed exorcisms. They thought he was possessed and accidentally killed him! Religion has done a lot of sick things and it prevents the continuation of science. They think things like genetic engineering is of the devil. and cloning/etc...

I just notice a lot of insanity. WHen you really think abotu it all, it all defies rational thought and logic.

I'm not saying I have all the answers. I don't pretend to know how we got here. But I don't make up childrens fairy tale stories to describe how the universe started. I don't have to invent some creator, just because I don't have all the information yet to explain it. And maybe there is a creator? Ok...well, which one is right? Maybe we all have it wrong. There is just no proof of anything. Everyone is insane. I don't know what I believe. But I'm not naive anymore and I don't just believe something because someone says it's true. You have to look into everything. You can't blindly accept.

The last thing I'll say is just one more thing about bullying: I hope everyone who reads this listens. Don't pick on other kids. I don't care if you think they are weird. What makes you right? You have things that are weird about you too. Don't be mean to the "freaky kid" The one that you don't understand why he or she dresses the way they dress...believes what they believe....listens to music and watches different movies than you....Don't make fun of them. You could really ruin their lives. You could cause them all sorts of problems. Everyone is different and it's just really sad what happened to me.

I understand why the kids at the Columbine tragedy shot up the school. Honestly I was at a point where I almost did the same thing. I fantasized about it. I get it, ya know? Those boys were picked on every day. The kids they shot had it coming to them. I'm not saying that is right at all. Obviously, I never took my imagination to those levels or reality...But I know where they were coming from. If you are abused SOOO bad every day of your life and no one listens...and you beg them to stop and they just laugh at you. You come to a point where you just want to use force on them.

Don't make other peoples lives miserable just because of your own weaknesses, jealousies, and insecurities. I hate bullies. You don't have to like everyone. But just leave them alone then. Some people are really ignorant and really hurt people.

Haha yeah I guess I was kind of off with N Sync there. But that's totally cool that you like those kinds of bands. I think different types of music are taken differently by different people. Like one person might find a certain type of music sad and depressing, but another person might find that music enjoyable.

I never really thought about Christian music having alot of downbeat songs, but I guess it is true. Of course idk I've heard alot of upbeat Christian songs, but those are mostly worship songs. I think alot of Christian music tends to lack originality. They all tend to have the same type of vocals and beats. I've found that when someone sends me a song or I hear a song that has lyrics that I can relate to I enjoy listening and it affects me, but most of the time Christian songs all sound the same and aren't very interesting.

Honestly, I'm not really completely certain about about my beliefs, but I do believe in God. I've asked myself those questions like why would God allow children to starve, why would God allow Satan to exist, how do I know I have the right god, etc., but idk. I've spent time before on atheist websites and talking to atheists, but it seemed like all the answers they gave never really answered everything. It just seemed empty. I don't know how many times I've told myself that I'm done with God and going to do what I want, but it never truly made me happy. Sure, at first I was like "woohoo freedom!", but it never made me feel happy like I thought it would. I felt like I was betraying everyone who ever loved me when I tried to reject God. Almost every person who I've ever respected and loved is a Christian. Idk it hurt so much. No matter how hard I try, I can't honestly say that I don't believe in God. I've had other people tell me what that the only reason I think this way is because I was raised Christian, and yeah they probably are right to an extent, but.....there's something more. I can't really explain it. How do I know I have the right god? I really don't know. What if I was raised with some other religion? I really don't know because I've never been of any other religion. You'd have to ask someone who converted to Christianity from another religion.

Other religions are intriguing so I understand why you like studying them. I'd probably study them more, but I tend to get pulled into things so I try not to go too far. know this sounds weird, but that kind of stuff really affects me. Like I've almost become a muslim a few times lol. I remember when I was ten there was this one shop that sold these different idols, and I was so fascinated by that place. Other religions do have a lure about them, but I can't let myself get into them.

True, there is alot of inconsistency, division, and confusion in all the different "Christian" denominations, and everyone will give you a different answer about why haha. I've wondered why God would make the Bible in a way that seems so open to interrpretation, but idk. I really honestly truly don't know. I could give an answer, but I'm not sure if I'm right. I guess it all comes down to whether someone believes and trusts God completely or not.

I think you said somewhere you went to a Catholic school? I've actually heard twice before of people that had bad experiences in Catholic schools because the teachers were mean. They said, I'm sure this isn't true for all of them, that the nuns who taught were angry that they couldn't have kids of their own and had to teach other people's kids so they took out that anger on the students. But anyways, that's just what they told me.

I'm sorry you were bullied
Bullying is terrible. It really does affect people and can make their lives so miserable. I even seen it happen in churches. But that's good that you've gotten over most of the anger from being bullied though. I've seen 60yr olds who still have anger from when they were bullied.

Why WOULD I want to listen to Wednesday 13? Just by the song titles I can tell they're not cool. Besides...you're not allowed to post worldly music like that here.

That's what I listen to...all I can do is praise Jesus!! He has saved me...I don't want to listen to stuff like what you posted. It's just...disturbing.

I didn't start the thread, so why quote what I said? lol

I'm not a fan of Wedensday 13's music per say. Seeing as he gets linked to The Murderdolls quite a lot and I'm not a massive fan of their work either. Nothing bad about the musicianship. Just I'm not to keen on the vocals or the content of what's in the lyrics. Even though they do amuse me slightly.

Heh, If you've got a problem with the thread.

To the bit in bold, if you're not interested in the subject matter.

Why post in the thread?

Just reading the discussion the bit in bold I read and thought, how?

And the second bit is in bold because it's cool that FINALLY SOMEONE on this website doesn't condemn all of us to firey hell to listening to metal/gothic/death metal (whatever) it's incredible that amongst all the right wing conservative Christian's there's some sense here.

I salute you.

Sorry, I assure you that wasn't directed at you. :) Why post in the thread? Because A) She could get banned for posting stuff like this and B) I want to give her a fair warning so she doesn't get banned and C) sometimes Christians need to lovingly give correction...not saying that I should always correct everything and everyone and start slappin' people upside the head with the Bible everywhere you see something the slightest bit wrong and say "YOU are SOOO WRONG! *smack smack smack!*" but I am saying that some things really do need correction

Hey Selenah...I sent you a friend request. If you have questions about God feel free to message me. (You have to be friends with me first, because that's where I've always had my settings...I can't switch them to where you don't have to be my friend to message me but I can't find it :( )

Oh, I was wondering why you quoted me.

But isn't it a bit hypocritical that you're preaching so called "love" but you're judging but we all do it occasionally and we're all sinners, but Christ redeemed himself for us.

What about the verse in two kings about "judge not least ye be judged"?

But people's musical choices don't need correction. If people like something they like it and can't be changed otherwise. Just on experiences here. Even though I have phases of listening to anything and everything a lot of the stuff I'm into musically hasn't changed for a good while now.

I like some Christian bands and a lot of secular bands and even some bands with professed Satanists in them (can't think of any right now, but they're lyrics aren't satanist in content. So to me it doesn't matter)

Maybe the TS does as-well. It's really hard to tell with a conversation on secular music.

Even so, I'm not offended by it in anyway.

Remember the line in Dawn Of The Dead? When they our on the roof off the mall and he asks "What are they?" and the reply is "They're us"
