Because it ends!

In every good story I've ever read or seen, I'd become really attached to the characters over the course of the main plot. I almost always find myself with a bittersweet feeling when the story reaches its ending. Like, at last, this character who I cared about dearly finally found a resolve to his or her problems...

...But I find myself wishing it didn't have to stop. That the end of a story wouldn't be saying goodbye.

How do ya'll cope with this?

I was pretty unhappy that Gatsby died by Wilson's hand in The Great Gatsby; I didn't much care for Gatsby but the book was nice, I thought. Though, the way I 'coped' with it was pick up 'The Things They Carried' - the next book in the curriculum. The cycle would repeat, then, picking up one book after another...

Yeah...when I REALLY enjoy a book, I'm really sad to see it end. Because isn't the end, like, just the beginning??
