I stay away from modern Christian music, because I find most of it to be incredibly lyrically weak. Often, very heretical.

I generally stay away from "remakes" as well. For different reasons.

This one was on BottRadioNetwork one day, and I did find it mildly humorous.

Lecrae is christian rap by the way. I did it for you is a good song. Christian music has come a long way. It offers praise and worship and inspiration through many genres like rap, pop, rock, heavy metal with a christian messege or at minimum a safe alternative for young impressionable ears. How can you bash a christian rapper for not putting cussing, gang bangin, daragatory statements about women etc, in their music. Or heavy metal screamin about glory to god instead of worship the devil. I personaly like lecrae, skillet, jeremy camp, jars of clay, old gospel, country christian like randy travis or josh turner along with many more. We are blessed to have christian music and the freedom to listen to it. If you bash christian music and movies, what is your alternative? The worldly junk. We are to separate ourselves from the world and be examples to the world.

I'm quite partial to any contemporary music that works at uplifting spirits, supporting and connecting with other people (and is appropriate, lacks innuendo and cursing). Often end up with Christian rock like Pillar and Switchfoot. I love the rock genre because it is passionate and raw.

Never heard of Apologetix, but that We Will Rock You parody wasn't bad :). Epic guitar solo included!

Not a big fan of most rap though, no beef with those Christian (and wholesome) rap artists, it's just not my taste unless mixed with rock :p. Or perhaps with a new approach/twist to the style, like the Flobots do.
