How can we lead homosexuals to Christ if we as a church, fail to love them?

Matthew 23:13 KJV
But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Now, I firmly believe we are all one church..one body. What one does right, we all do right. What one does wrong, we all do wrong.

Understand.. I use to be gay, but I was set free. It wasnt someone telling me how sinful I am, that made me change. I knew I was sinning. It took a Christian friend just loving me. Which was a shock to me, at that time.
Now I have a ex-gay ministry.. & God has really shown me allot. but it seems to me.. we, as a church.. Are failing in the area of loving homosexuals.

Your story is so inspiring! I have a friend that I grew up next door to who's gay. I simply love and accept him. He knows what I believe but is amazed at me loving him. He's really close but not ready to surrender. Maybe when he's ready you can help him? I'll tell him that I know someone God has set free! Thank you for sharing!

Sometimes we fail to show a Christ-like love to those in need of it- we fail to do it together.

This "us and them" mentality doesn't feel right, doesn't feel Christ-like. We're all sinners, we're all God's children- yet we stand so divided, from our brothers and sisters in Christ, from those condemned as "sinners" and shown no love.

I love people, whether they are homosexual or not makes no difference.

This is an issue of loving your neighbor (homosexual or not) and this problem far exceeds beyond the population of homosexuals, who of which, are just a small portion of people not being shown love.

A homosexual is no more and no less of a sinner than a liar, an adulterer, a thief, or a murderer. All sin is punishable by death, and NOBODY is beyond salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Mark 12:29-31
King James Version (KJV)

29And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

I hear a lot misinformation where I'm from concerning a Christian and a homosexual. Thank you for this, hislastwalk.

We need to love everyone whether gay or not. We should remember that JESUS said that He came for the sinners and not for the righteous because the righteous are already saved. So we Christians have to love the gay peoples and all those who do not know GOD; we need to preach the good news to them and show them the love of GOD in them and in us. We do not need to reject them or isolate them but show them the love of GOD.If we do these, we will be accomplish our mission on earth as Christians to bring more soul to Christ.
May GOD help us accomplish this mission.

We should love homosexual people and pray for them. They are only tortured by demons. If the demons are casted, they become normal.

they are not possessed. The bible shows what signs of possession are.
Jesus even said all things come from your heart. Stop giving Satan credit that he doesn't deserve. >.< lol

Or, sometimes, they die. You hear stories occasionally about lesbians who get wounded, if not simply killed, in violent exorcisms. It sounds a lot like the Christian version of corrective rape.

Corrective rape, which occurs most often in African countries, is when men assault gay women to try to "fix" them. The reason I make the comparison with exorcisms is that in many of these same countries, especially in the DRC, there are versions of exorcism in which demons responsible for witchcraft or homosexuality can be beaten out, if necessary.

No satan deserves it. It's the devil who is in there heart. If they repent and come unto Christ, surely God will deliver them.

Go reread Matthew. They CHOOSE to be gay, it comes from their hearts. They ate not possessed, however it does open up doors. I use to be gay, I should know.

There were actually "clinics" in El Salvador I believe it was were they were "fixing" lesbians by raping and torturing them.

Just to point out, and I hope FG agrees, we're not necessarily attacking the ideas of demonic possession or exorcism, but when they come up in this context they're usually a code for something much more brutal than what your average Christian visualizes.
