Christian Rock/Hard Rock/Metal etc. I loved Metal and rock when I was a sinner. Now that I'm a Christian, I love UnderOath, Norma Jean, RED, August Burns Red, etc. But even softer Rock bands that are Christian are getting flack from certain sites. The Bible warns us to flee from the appearance of evil. What do you guys think?

your relationship with God is between you and God.. not anyone else.. so this is really something you need to work out between you and God.. because you will get plenty of people saying "Yes" and plenty of people saying "No." but they're not God..

I listen to SOME secular bands. Like Paramore, etc, but I don't listen to them much.

The music you listen to is between you and God and no one else has a right to answer that question for you. If you honestly feel ok to listen, then listen. Just keep your ears open to Gods guidance.

Wasn't talking about secular bands. I mean Christian metal/rock/hard rock. And Paramore is led by Hayley Williams who went to my school and used to be a Christian.

Okay, here are my thoughts on this. I'm an avid metal/rock listener and see no issue with it. It's the lyrics that count. There is no 'appearance of evil' in Christian metal bands unless they start tattooing the satanic star on them or something. I would say that screaming isn't considered evil unless it's done out of pride or anger, but then again that goes for regular talking as well.
