This seems to be a major topic of conversation...

In my opinion homosexuality is a choice, which becomes a desire, which evolves into an uncontrollable passion and should be treated as such. I don't believe there are "gay" genes or that people just come out of the womb gay. I believe that if God told us that it is not good to be homosexual, then he would not curse us with homosexuality in order to deny us his blessings. This is not only ridiculous, it is blasphemous. I treat homosexuals with the respect they deserve, but not because they are homosexuals, but rather because we are all children of God. Do I honestly think I am in a better position than gay people are? No I think I am the worst of sinners, that my own sins are my concern and nobody else's sins are any of my business at all. I am only in control of my life and thank God for that! The Holy Scriptures are too often taken to be a book of rules for other people to check others against, which is also very blasphemous. The Light of the Holy Scriptures is a lens to see OUR OWN FAULTS and never to criticize another.

I agree, how can you explain that doctors and scientist can find a cure for AIDs and other HIVS for babies born out of women who have those things and yet not find a cure for the Adults with the same things? because it wasn't the childs fault that its parent had inmoral issues. AIDs and HIV I believe is Gods punishment for those who do these things

I'm having some trouble understanding, then, why you're writing about this and not a list of your own sins. Not your business at all, but you needed to start a new thread to weigh in? Something's fishy.

a sinner can still speak his mind. I see you also thought it a good idea to "weigh in"

Yes, definitely. While admitting you have no business in anybody's sins, you make a thread about one that you presumably don't share in. Is this not worth commenting on? Don't you see any irony?

I guess I'm wondering, why this one and not, say, gossiping? Did you just have a thought and think it was wise to share your opinion about the sins of others?

No. You have the wrong impression. Im saying that one must not judge homosexuals at all. we are all loved equally no matter what we choose to do.
i share this opinion because it seems to be a fascination on this website i always see posts about it.

These were the kind of people who tried to gang rape visitors. Ezekiel says:

She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. They were haughty and did detestable things before me.
Etc., etc. If you read this story and think they were overthrown primarily because there were some gay men there, you haven't bothered to read the Bible.

I think this thread beats a dead horse.

How many love homosexuals, hate the sin threads are there on these forums? Countless, and countless threads...

Point has been made, so continue or throwdown your thoughts in a sanctioned forum. To create another one is really over kill at this point, and many people will just skim over it.

I feel this thread should be labeled HUMANS instead of its current header. I think Christians really get caught up in trying to be christians, and totally miss the point sometimes. Like shouldn't be about calling out homosexuals, or drug users, or horrrible parents, it should be about leading by example.

Remove the plank in your own eye before you point out the splinter in your brothers.

By the way, there's a new video out of some South African kids raping a mentally diminished girl. Why aren't we starting threads about them? They're closer to Sodom.

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are clearly revealed, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lustfulness,
Gal 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, fightings, jealousies, angers, rivalries, divisions, heresies,
Gal 5:21 envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revelings, and things like these; of which I tell you before, as I also said before, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God..

Here is the issue in the apostate church today, simply no one knows what biblical repentance is, they think God is OK with sin and disobedience, and that once you say the sinners prayer you are in the kingdom!

What a mess Christianity is today, if you know someone who's a practicing homosexual, the loving thing to do is warn them to repent or perish!

That is pure love! But as most of you allude to, you are still IN your sins, and cannot judge, but the spiritual man judges all things, but is judged by no one!

That is what is wrong with the church today, most are wallowing in their sins, because they have bought the lie, accepted the mark, and believe they are just poor sinners saved by grace, and can sin their way into heaven, because Jesus is their remedy to offset their fallen nature!

This is a false gospel I am afraid, leading many down the road to perdition!

Gods mercy is apparent, its very longsuffering, He wants none to perish, but all to come to repentance, and forsake all their vile sins against Him.

His patients will not last forever,so warn the homosexual, adulterer, drunkard, and worldly Christians of the wrath to come unless they repent. 2 Cor 7-10-11.

Eph 5:3 For let fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness not be once named among you, as becomes saints,
Eph 5:4 neither baseness, foolish talking, jesting, which are not becoming, but rather giving of thanks.
Eph 5:5 For you know this, that no fornicator, or unclean person, or covetous one (who is an idolater), has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Eph 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the children of disobedience.

How about warning the Christian. We all are labeled by something at least by the worlds standards. We may be liars. We may be addicts. We may be profane. We could be gluttons. We could be blah, blah, blah. Why focus on the homosexual, or a small group of what we consider the worst. What makes them worse than I am? These labels are washed from us by the blood of Christ, but it takes times and lots of healing to learn a different way of expression.
I'd rather warn you that you are treading on unloving territory. Pluck that plank out of your eye while I pluck out mine, and then we can lovingly tell our lying friends of their sins. How do you know that this homosexual has not accepted the Lord. God judges the hearts, while man sees the outward appearance. We may see an effeminate man with a high voice and just their appearance, but only God knows the state of ther heart. God will draw them near. We need only love them, and stand beside them. We need to see each person as they were created---in the perfect image of God, a good gift to you and to others.
Men are especially hard on homosexuals. It's like you think it's contagious. These are people. For Gods sake, they may be broken, but if you think you're not then I'm more optimistic about their outcome than yours.

I personally have a few gay friends, but it does seem like men are more put off by it then women are by lesbians.

It's a very interesting observation.

True, when i saw this i thought 'oh my gosh.. ANOTHER homosexuality thread??'.

But to wonder why its such an issue is really not that hard. At least for Americans. Homosexuals have become quite aggressive here in their agendas. They are pushing to get into school curriculum, even as young as early elementary school ages. Its almost to the point of demonizing anyone who is against it in any manner. You say you are against homosexuality here and you're immediately labeled a homophobe. Its pretty much you accept, and support them, or you're the enemy. So i think that makes the whole notion more forward on our minds.
