I have a really good friend who is a guy and we have been friends since middle school. I recently developed a crush on him but he is not a Christian. I don't really know what religion he concurred himself but he believes somethings that I don't believe in. I would like to have a relationship with him but I don't want to be "unequally yolked". Please pray for me as I struggle with my strong feelings for him and also his salvation and that he would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus and his love for us. I love him so much as a friend and I would love to be his sister in Christ. Thanks family!!!

Forums don't always get fast reply's. Some posts can go hours without any response, so you just have to be patient.

We do have a prayer request section as well. You may want to post there instead as the people there are looking to pray specifically. Also tends to be a bit more active than the teens section.

I have been in situations where i've had feelings for a non-Christian. Its tough, but its tougher to date them. Many times they will not carry the same values and morals. As a result they will encourage you into their behavior. Or even if thats not the case, you always have in the back of your mind a concern for their lifestyle, and fear of them not being saved. To purposefully invest your feelings into someone that you constantly fear their going to hell puts a lot of strain on you. And it can lead to you accepting wrong beliefs to convince yourself that they aren't going to help.

Will he go to church with you?

Asking him is also a good way of letting him know that your Christian beliefs are very important to you :)
