Clubbing? is that a sin ?

im kinda confused, some people say go clubbing is a sin, because its like have some fun not in God's way
but another people say its not a sin if u only go to the club and dancing, u dont drink/smoke(in indonesia u can smoke when u r in the club)...

im not a party girl, but i love to dancing, soo yaaaaa now im kinda confused lol o.o

what do u think ?

Ask these questions when trying to determine if it's a sin:
A.) Does it dishonor God to go to a club?
B.) Will it cause people to turn away from God if I go to a club? Do others think that I'm supporting the drink and smoke attitude of others by my going there? We are called not to be stumbling blocks.)
C.) Will it effect my walk with God?
D.) Will it possibly cause me to become more tempted to do other things that I know are a sin?

Having said this, the one and only time I've been to a club, I hated it. It was not for me. So, I'm probably not the greatest judge on it. However, what I hate is not necessarily what others hate. There is nothing wrong with wanting to have fun. God built that desire in us. However, there are many different ways of having fun. If dancing is fun for you, but your not sure about the club scene, then maybe you should see if there are some alternatives out there.

I think the question would be, what do you plan on doing at the club?

Drinking ONE beer (which isn't a sin) or getting drunk? Just hanging with friends, or looking for a one night stand?

i also like to dance :) i go to the club (sometimes) with my friends. and we have fun there. i don't think it is somethng really wrong (but only if you know who you are and what you stand for) also-it depp on what kinda club it is. i mean there are some really bad clubs.
you are young :) you can take some dancing lessons or somethng like that :) there are many other ways how to have some fun by dancing :) who knows-maybe one day you will become a REAL dancer :)

same like you, until now ive been to a club only once, but i cant say i hated it, i love the music but not the guys at the club o_O well i got it, thank youuu so much for ur answer :)

KYLEEEEE!!!

well when i was at the club, i was just hanging with friends, i didnt even drink. its not a good thing to getting drunk at the club it will be more risky o_O

if i wanna go to the club i only want to dance thats all :)

i dont wanna drink/smoke at the club, i only wanna come to dance :p . well i know what do u mean :p but i wont go to the clubs like that :p

i used to be a dancer, and i quit :p

thats why sometimes i feel like i really2 miss to dance :p

lol... I can't dance, well I can, but the only way I know how to dance is the way I danced back when I was gay. xD so it looks awkward.

i think it wouldn't be beneficial o.o
thats why ive been to the club only once until now at least

hahaha, i dance like a weirdos too at the club, but i think i was pretty good at my dance class haha

I think its more along the lines that we are not suppose to place ourselves in a situation where we could trip and slip down the slippery slope into sin. Believers shouldnt really party with unbelievers because you usually become what you hang out with. feel me? ask the holy spirit to guide you on what is right and what is wrong in Gods eyes and he will. Just....listen in your heart and mind to what he tells you and he will not guide you anything but right.

Firstly you have to ask yourself if this is the kind of environment God wants you to be in. Not sure how it is there but clubs here are usually full of people getting drunk, using illegal drugs, dancing in a highly sexual manner, often dressed in a sexual manner, the music is designed to fuel this hedonistic atmosphere.. and a lot of people go there just to get high, drunk and laid.
Second ask yourself what would someone think of you if they saw you coming out of a club? What if it were a follow church member, or that girl you've been witnessing to? Even if you're doing nothing wrong inside, what assumptions will they make about your character by seeing that?

Nothing wrong with dancing, a lot of things wrong with getting so high and drunk that you wake up next morning married to someone 20 years older than you in a third world country.

yeeep i got what do u mean abuout the hang out stuffs, ive been in that situation, when u hang out with the unbelievers maybe u would become one of them, just saying o_O. hehe yeep thank you for thaat advice! my mum told me the same thing :) ask Holy Spirit and He'll guide u in everything that we ask for :)

yeeep clubs arent a safety place to hang if u go alone or with the people who u dont get along with.

hmm u right, i think it would be really embarrassing because they would think that maybe u r the kind of a fake person ? i dont know maybe they would think like that.

the first time i went to the club it was last year which means im already 17, its legal in here if u come to the club if u already 17 i guess o_O.

in here even like 13/14 or if u already in junior high u can go to the club, some club might allow them to come to the club well as i rem like that

omg id die if that happened o_O thats why my mum says club isnt a safety place to go hang out even with ur friends, God Bless x !

IT'S CRAZY!!! TOTALLY! Do God cares if you dance or not?? No, because it's not important. YOU ARE IMPORTANT!
I think it's just too much to think what is right and wrong, what God want and don't want us to do. When we are thinking like that then we are changing real picture of God. And "suddenly" God is becoming kind of cruel, not hearken and stupid God that wants only that everybody would be holy of their selves... WTF????? Where is a real God that doesn't care about all these, that loves you no matter what...?
