If it wasn't for God's word, I might've gotten into evolution philosophy... survival of the fittest and thought it was ok to be racist. And right now I'd be killing a lot of people because of evolution philosophy.
Or how about other religions who say it's grey not black and white.... which wouldve meant it wouldve been ok to do evil things. But God's word says, "Be Holy, like your father" =] So as a Christian I do God's will because I love God and God's will means ALWAYS BE GOOD =] not sometimes be good like many other religions. Also it's important to note... I do sin... I mess up, Im not perfect and that's why Jesus died on the cross... so we don't go to hell for messing up... so be comforted... were saved.. even after we mess up. My point is... God has set truly good standards, no grey areas, just white, just good. =] Jesus forgives all sin and I don't worry about hell... just looking forward to always doing my best for God and watching him change me, little by little and sometimes quickly. =]
I'm glad I'm Christian because God's word warned me about sex/lust. While without God's word I'd be open and would've had sex. And then look at girls as objects... and lust wouldve fogged my mind and wouldve said things like... "well Im just a man... and its ok for me to mess around with girls". I'd be a womanizer without God's word.
I'm glad I'm Christian because I have a God that's there and active because when I prayed in his will...(not my will, like praying for something I want, but in his will) when I prayed, he has answered. I have received the vision I prayed for and a sign for which way to go (left or right) when I just literally wanted to go left or right to go home or help some people out... a rock flew out of nowhere towards the left.. towards home.
I'm glad Im Christian because there's overwhelming evidence for my beliefs.... archeology, historical, scientific, philosophical evidence as far as I have seen. If you don't know about the evidence that support our faith then you simply haven't looked. God's word says this....

For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
We don't believe in myths, we believe in TRUTH.
I'm glad I'm Christian because of God's word I know I should love everyone... and that's very nice =] but of course I SHOULD LOVE GOD THE MOST =]

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you
Lastly, I just wanna say... I know you guys and gals are young and it's tough... but God can get you through just like how he got me through racism... through sexual sin (thoughts and masterbation) and he can liberate you whatever your going through, we have a real and true God. I know it first by Faith because without Faith without giving God the trust that he wants.... I wouldnt have known it by what I have seen (spiritual visions)... an angel can appear infront of you but what does it matter if you don't give God Faith... if you just want to open up to God, if you dont give him Faith. I know it because of what he has done in my life because of my growth in him because looking back at my life... Gods ways are and were better and my ways werent. Lastly... and this is not why I believed in God in the first place nor what started.. the least important yet the thing so many people seek... I know it by evidence. The truth is, do what God says, give him some trust, open up... read his word and be serious and realistic about him and you'll see what I mean. Maybe not right away, maybe it will be right away... but in his will when he wants it to happen, you'll see changes in your life, he'll get you through. Wait putting Faith in God like Abraham did, act like David did against Goliath in Faith of God.

P.S.- I notice sometimes jerks come in this forum quite a bit, trying to hurt your Faith, don't listen to them... and if you do... notice thier character... there not looking to enlighten you... there looking to hurt you. Ignore them ok, their not genuinely interested in helping you. They want to do the devils work.
