I DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD WHATSOEVER! However, I'm skeptical. If one of you can give me a solid reason as to why I should believe in God, and I mean a really good reason, I will admit on here that God is real. But I have to tell you that I don't think any of you can give me a solid reason because there isn't any proof.

L0V3, funny how your post is anything but loving. Points 2 and 3 are completely out of line, immature and very disrespectful.

Well, You don't believe god exists eh?
I'll give you a couple solid reasons to believe in him.
1. If you don't you will spend Forever in a lake of napalm.
2. If you don't you're a inept retard.
3. If you don't you, you are a waste of space.
4. The evidence is clear because the bible exists

This shows everything I mean by this.

This whole post is just immature and irresponsible.

you probably know deep down in your heart that there IS God.. otherwise, why would you be on this forum which is obviously named "Christian Chat"?
But maybe you think there's nothing to lose for asking question. Am I right?
so I'd say, why don't you prove it yourself? There is nothing to lose for you to ask God Himself to let you know that He hears you.

God bless you :)

I am so sorry for any negativity that you saw here on your post. Please let me assure you that I have been in a place where I asked others to give me the one word answer to prove to me that God exists, and I myself have trampled through this site speaking both lies and blind truths. If it were not for God, I would have been turned away from any who suffered for things that I may have said. But have no fear! If someone who was in as much trouble as I was facing with God, was shown so quickly that he exists, you to will find him! Thank you so much for asking to know him! He wants to get to know you even more as you grow! :) Here is the only proof that I have that's of some good help for you today: If God didn't want to be a part of your life, he wouldn't have let you post on in a place where all of his help will find you! Keep asking about God, and sooner or later you'll be asking him yourself!

Um, no one can convince you love :)

I could sit here and talk till I'm blue in the face about God, and you wouldn't believe me. I have a ton of evidence, because I was an agnostic atheist a mere few months ago. Then I got the biggest shock of my life - God is legit dude.

It's not the stereotypical mushugana fairy man in the sky either. It's fuking epic is what it really is.

I got so sick and tired of hearing about all this lovey dovey crap at church, about how God gave his only begotten son, and how we should spread peace and love yada yada - pretty much stuff I was taught by my parents - stuff that non - believers learn with common sense.

I love science, I love facts, I love proof and I love to falsify things :p

However, the problem I started to make was trying to seek God's answers from mankind.

Dude, if you really wanna know God, with all your heart, then get on your knees and ask him. Ask Father for the truth to him.

Keep in mind of your intentions though; even though I was agnostic atheist, I still had a glimmer of deep love and desire for God - I was literally screaming and crying in the middle of the student lounge when I finally broke down because I just wanted to find Father again.

Matthew 7:7

" Seek and you will find..."

The most legit statement if the bible ever had one - and it has a ton of em ha ha.

Be wary of what you may get yourself into - I went from being a typical Christian, to an agnostic atheist - and now other Christians ridicule me for what I believe, because God gave me more than I ever could of asked for.

All of this done logically. I was reading another forum on here where a poster said " You can't look at God logically," LOL that's pretty silly -

God created us, our Father knows how our minds work, how our logic comes to play - which is why the bible has several verses in which God talks about the " Wisdom" which isn't really wisdom at all that men on earth believe they have.

Science, as much as I love it, is but mankind's feeble attempt to understand what we never fully will. At least not in this lifetime. The more observations are found, the more infinite observations are to be made. After coming into this revelation of God, I was watching all the documentaries I thrilled about before about the big bang and other theories.

All of them end up saying, " we just don't know, and we now aren't sure if we ever will."

The true wisdom actually lies in understanding God, because the physical world is brief and comes to pass. It is the spiritual world that is our true reality - it is actually our true birth place according to Eclesiasties 12:7 which talks about our souls returning to God.

You cannot return to a place you've never been...hint hint ;D

A lot of people think Adam and Eve were the first humans - erm no that totally violates evolution, biology and nature. Cain got a wife - there were other people clearly.

The earth is also not 6,000 years old; the bible just accurately documents 6,000 years of time.

Anyway I'll cut to the chase -

The logical element your looking for in the bible, is it's prophetical element; real life human history is 100% accounted for in the bible - it even details metaphorically WW2 and the dropping of the first atomic bomb as a marker for 2nd Coming Christ's coming.

Jesus's birth was predicted hundreds of years before it really happened; real kingdoms and nations that are recorded in non - biblical textbooks are predicted to rise and fall hundreds - even thousands of years before they do. Real kings who lived and people like Solomon and David were prophesied to exist and fulfill a profound purpose of God's will.

Even our age is recorded most accurately in the bible - the time of false prophets, the anti - chirst, spiritual babylon, and of course the completion of Father's will and purpose for the Earth. Ya know, the very famous book of Revelations? It talks a lot about what's going on right now, spiritually at this very moment.

Isaiah is also an extremely prophetical book.

The bible also talks about scientific theories like how gravity deals with the suspension of the earth in space, the cycle of the sun, the water cycle, and detailing about the very core of the earth. All this is mentioned in the OT in books written a couple thousand years before Sir Isaac Newton and these theories became recognized in physical human society. Matter of factly, the water cycle was written by Job in a time in which no one knew how this worked.

Job 36: 27

" He draws up the drops of water, which distill as rain to the streams; (28) the clouds pour down their moisture and abundant showers fall on mankind."

Keep in mind that 1.) The book of Job was written centuries ago, and 2.) There were no means of scientifically detecting water vapor or detailing the water cycle at that time through those mechanisms.

There's some more little things like that, but the biggest logical aspect of the bible is it's prophecy which is still supernaturally accurate.

Hence why Revelations says

Rev 22: 7

" Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."

People don't seem to pay attention to this aspect - I know I definitely didn't before. Jesus warns about watching for this logical element, because it was how the Pharisee's and those who said they believed in God in his time, ended up rebuking Jesus as their savior and crucifying him.

Jesus even tells one of the Pharisees that even though the diligently study the scriptures, they still didn't recognize their saviour. The Pharisee's were concerning themselves with trying to be righteous by their own efforts instead of the text of the bible and came to be spiritually blind.

Anyway, it truly is a personal testament for everyone when it comes to God.

Free will is having the choice to follow God or not; if you do not fear God and do not believe love, I can't make you believe or convince you.

That is between you and God.

All I say is that if you want the answers, only the author knows his works, and thus only God can reveal to you the extent of his brilliance - but that again depends on where your heart truly is.

Do not expect to have immediate results lol it's not like I had a magical dream or God personally talked to me. I just ran into some very random people at my school - but God was definitely with them!

I hope you find what your truly looking for - and maybe we'll commemorate over some cold one's in Heaven lol xD

If there ever was time to get right with God, this would be that time.

Some things in life you will never know, and this is one of them. You know, there is no proof that He exists, but there is no proof that He doesn't either, so no one can prove it to you, which is why only few people believe in God, because not everyone is brave enough to trust in something they can't see.

So if you're not willing to take the risk to believe for a little second, sorry, this is the question you will never get answer for.

Skeptical,
Just exactly what kind of proof are you looking for? And truly, what kind of proof would you accept? Are you searching for answers, or are you challenging believers? Your opening statement (I DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD WHATSOEVER! however, i am skeptical) "Sounds both...desperate and combative." Gods speed in the search for the Greatest LOVE you will ever know, if you find it.

This is real simple:

New International Version (©1984)
Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.

Just ask God to open your heart, reveal Himself to you.

Well I do not think he has come around any more. But here is an example of the absence of God.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan nuclear explotions can be considered an absence of God.

CAPSLOCK

Good for you.

However, I'm skeptical.
Are you skeptical of the proposition that there may not be a god?

If one of you can give me a solid reason as to why I should believe in God, and I mean a really good reason, I will admit on here that God is real.
Do I look like I have gills?

At least give me something other than one of those plastic worms. :)

But I have to tell you that I don't think any of you can give me a solid reason because there isn't any proof.
I suppose that settles it.

Reminds me of when Borat was learning how to make "not jokes".

"I am open to you providing me reasons to believe in God, NOOOOOT!!!!"

You said, "because there isn't any proof", so if that is true, you really aren't interested in being open about it.

So then, what is your purpose here?

Take me to your leader.

This is why I believe in the LORD
1 He created everything. The earth and the heavens have order to them. Everything has a purpose there is nothing that does not have some value. This is from people right down to a fly.
If you drop ink, crash your car or break anything there is no order in it. Order does not just happen someone it behind it.

2 I have had dark times and it was the Love of God and his word that pulled me through.

3 the Prophecies in the Bible come true without any one trying to make it happen.

4 I have heard and seen reports of people healed through the word of God. Something that could only be explained if there was a God.

5 have seen girl try to hurt someone and the power of God knock her to the ground without anyone touching her.

6 I have heard a story from a man who made a video because God woke him up and told him he was going to die soon. He made the video for his family his last words to them. He died I think it was 4 months later. The video of Eric has lead many to the Lord.

7 I have had the Lord put a song in my mouth for a week or so I did not know this song came from the Lord. Then I heard the Lord tell me to go to the park to talk to someone. I said if this is really the Lord what time should I go, I heard noon. I went to the park and there was a group a 5 homeless men standing together. I said Lord I have nothing to give them. Just then my had griped the Bible in my pocket. I knew one of them I had talked to him many times. I gave the Bible to him and we all talked for sometime. Then I told them I would take them to lunch. They were talking about how hungry they were and that lunch would be nice. Then it was as if they could not hear me any more they change the subject and got on the Max and went down town. There was only one left so I said, do you want to go to lunch. He did and we went. We sat and talked and then I found out that he took the Bible I gave to the other man. I said I would buy him his own. He told me the story of his life and the things he had seen on the street. I was about to give up and he started singing that song the Lord had put in my heart. The song was check yes or no. I grab his hand while people are looking at us but I did not care. We got done sing the song and I said a don’t be afraid to take me by the hand. He went with me and I bought him a Bible and another book. He was going to call his son to take him up on his offer to live with him. He was the most humble person I have ever met. I am thankful for this picture of God’s love and will treasure it always.

Rycag, let me introduce you to some facts. Pay attention, schools in session. The reason it is called the theory of evolution is simply because there is NO conclusive proof whatsoever. None. At all. They can't even definitively date the Earth or the dinosaurs. Carbon dating is inaccurate past a few thousand years. With recent scientific discoveries more and more experts have concluded that our world MUST have been created. Intelligent design is the only correct answer. If you had a solid background is chemistry you would see that things just don't happen. If you believe in evolution conduct an experiment to prove yourself right. Grab a 5000 piece puzzle. Put it in a garbage bag and shake it for about an hour. Then pour it out onto the table and see if it is compete like the picture. This is what evolutionists believe. They think that it all started with one piece. Then for no reason all these pieces swirling around in this elemental soup. Then began reproducing themselves millions of times a minute. That's why they think the world must be billions of years old. However in order to conclude that is even possible you would have to have a complete puzzle in perfection at the end of an hour. If your experiment failed you would have to draw a separate conclusion. If you could not do it in an hour (or even two) then all over the world life could not have generated on it own. As well you would be faced with a new group of questions starting with who put this cosmic puzzle together. If it was aliens, who put their cosmic puzzle together. If you are even slightly intelligent, which I believe you to be then you would have to conclude...... THERE MUST BE GOD. Class dismissed.
