Okay, so me and my aunt were talking about God one day and she told me that she has never read the Bible in her life. She also told me that she doesn't believe in Hell or Heaven really. She says that when you die you just rest for the rest of eternity. She told me that she thinks Hell is our lives right now. What really got me was that she said that everyone will go to heaven whether they believe in God or not. She said that everyone is one of God's children and so we wil all end up in heaven and be judged for our sins, but everyone will still go to heaven. I read this series called Left Behind. It talks all about how Jesus will come back and the 7 years with the Antichrist and then Jesus setting up his 1000 year reign. She told me that this is crazy because we are living right now so why would God put us back on earth? She told me to read this bood called Armageddon by Aristottle or however you say his name. I was just kinda upset because she wouldn't even let me tell her what I believe. I tried to tell her that I believe wholey in the Bible because it's Gods word. She said how can you know that God wrote it? I told her that I just have faith.
So can you tell me your views on this? Like I said, I was just a little hurt that she believes the way she does, but I can't shove anything on her. But I don't want her shoving her views on me either.

Hi gigitgirl :)

I think I know how you feel. This is exactly what my father thinks. And although I haven't talked to my father about my faith yet I have a feeling that that's what he's going to say when I do. I just wanted to tell you that you aren't alone in this and we can do it!

Well, about how you should tell her.. :/ Maybe you could have a friendly 'debate' with her? Does anyone else have ideas? :)

God bless,
April :)

The million dollar question? Is there a God? There will always be a debate going both ways. I tell you, stay devoted to God and the Bible. It is only faith that sets us apart from the non-believers. Everyone is a Child of God, but we have to acknowledge him. I have a few friends that are Agnostic or believe in a different God. It's hard to pursuade someone who is so set on their ways to believe in something you so STRONGLY believe, part of the reason is because as Christians we know it's pretty much (eternal) life or death on the line. All we can do is Pray, Pray, Pray and keep talking to them. But remember to set an example to the unbelievers through faith, purity, speech, life, and love. in the same way you would to believers cuz that's what this dying world needs. Stay Strong!

I'm kinda afraid to debate with her. She just doesn't listen to me, because, like I said, she just believes what she believes and doesn't want to believe anythink else.
