It doesn't matter how old a thread. If it's a worthwhile topic with substantive posts, answers would be welcomed by those in confusion over the issue being discussed. Often the issues, despite being deemed 'old' by some, are relevant to the wider christian community online as a whole, so feel free to reply and educate others on the matter. They may well further their walk with Christ as a result.
