To my understanding, teen dating is wrong. The bible says your body is the temple of the lord. The spirit of the Lord can not be in you when your body is defiled. Its sexuall immorality, it fornication. There is time for everything. This world is blinded. It promotes fornication through media. To be honest, i dont blame those who say its not a sin because nowadays teen dating is just like eating, something common. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?
Great post! and great thread!! Please remember, during biblical times and most of history, many girls 14 and older were eligible for marriage. A typical example is Mary, mother of Jesus who was married around 14 years of age. It wasn't uncommon for 14 &15 year old girls to be married during biblical times. In some parts of the world, it is still common practice.

Dating between teens is really a new ritual that is not being handle very well as we see with the stats on STD diseases, teen pregnancies and etc.

Do I think teens should date? yes if they can avoid the sex. Teens today should be focusing on a solid education in K-12 school & college first, and secondly, looking for a permanent mate for marriage during & after their college years.

Marriage & dating habits have changed dramatically in the last 50 years. What worked in 1960 is not likely to work in 2014.

No, it's not wrong at all, as long as it is from the age of 16 and up. Dating is a natural and healthy part of growing up. Of course, there are many pitfalls to be avoided, especially premarital sex. Fortunately for myself, I knew how to say no, even at the cost of a girl friend that I had puppy love for. She dumped me. I quit school and joined the military. While I was in the service she married my best friend. A few years I saw both of them. They were fighting and very unhappy and had filed for divorce. My friend came up to me and said he was sorry stealing my girl friend. I told him there was no need to thank me as it was better for him to get divorced than me and that he had done me a huge favor. We shook hands and I never saw either of them again.

Teen dating is not a sin on it's own but it MAY not be necessary and avenue for sexual temptations.

Let's spend time doing things instead of facing dating for now unless you are ready for marriage now 🙃

Hi Oloore, it's so nice you care to respond to someone, and keep doing so. I've been here since October and just recently replied to an old post, it's easy to do, since they are still available. God bless!

The OP probably knows that now, almost six years later!
The OP ain't even a member here anymore..

Hello Oloore, Welcome to CC!
Multi: I was thinking close to that......... lets for fun say the OP and teen reply's WERE 13/14 at the time..... they'd be what? 19/20 now? It would be interesting however if any of the teens who replied are still on CC what their answers would be now.
Blue: easy there..... LOTS of "newbies" don't get this site.
Tabin: It is easy to do with so many still available. I've done it, I've even seen "SENIOR MEMBERS" do it too.
As a simi still newbie, I wonder, for a site that talks about recently changing (how long has it been?) why post that are "dead" 4, 5, 6 years are still here on the "new" site?
A lot of "newbies" don't realize the threads are date/time stamped, or whether or not a user is "guest" or even still using the site. "Simple" things that can be easily overlooked.

No, it's just a normal process of reaching adulthood. I started dating at the age of 15. Of course, there will be temptations but these can be avoided not placing yourself in certain situations.

All threads are relevant to those who are interested in the topic regardless of how old the thread is or even if the OP is no longer a member.
