I guess in your country thy don't allow people to have many children ? I head that some counties will actually force women to kill the child..Thats how the world does things sadly .

Genesis is clear, i dont see anything wrong with having many kids.

Hmm... Family planning is not a sin. Yes, there are countries that have one child policy especially in China. It's either they have it aborted or some opt to move out of the country to raise a big family.lol. There are a lot pure chinese who originally came from mainland china here in the Philippines and trust me they're big clans. There's nothing wrong with family planning because it is benificial for the couple and their children. What if they can't afford to raise a big family yet they still continue on producing babies? How do they intend to provide food, shelter and educatiom to their children? It also prevents unwanted pregnancies. It is very essential that couples are taught about family planning. It saddens my heart a lot of street children roaming around the city and asking for money and food yet their parents are busy producing babies. I belong to a big family and I'm so thankful to the Lord that He has truly blessed my family. There's no way my parents could afford to provide our basic needs without the help of our Almighty God.

Extended family is also practiced here in the Philippines. My mom always taught us that when we will have our own family, we need to move out and not soley rely on them because there will be a time that they will be taken away from us. I know some want their family ties intact but it's not healthy because it could lead to family issues like who's going to get the house and there will be no privacy amongst your relatives.

Every argument I've ever heard for family planning and birth control are rooted in the same selfish desires that people used to argue for abortion.

1) I'm not ready/don't want that child
2) I'm not financially secure
3) If I have more kids, I can't buy them all a plasma screen TV for their rooms so their life isn't worth living, gotta abort them

It's silly, really, the hypocrisy.

Is this meant to be a vague questions - the question should be more direct - is Abortion sin - yes, it is killing an unborn child, is planning for your future a sin, no. We recognize that God can do what He wills with our life

Outside of the third answer I see nothing wrong with the first two you list. Some people dont want kids. Are you saying they shouldn't plan to avoid that circumstance in their lives?

I believe that family planning is a strategy of the devil. God is the giver of life. Who are we to tell Him how many children He can give us and when He can give them to us? As Christians, we are called to trust God in all things, and to me this includes His timing when it comes to children and how many children He desires for us to have. I didn't always feel this way...but for the last few years, I have.

We're also called to make wise choices.

I think the wisest choice we can make is fully surrendering to God and letting Him decide how many children to give us. After all, He knows best, yes? And no one is wiser than He is, right?

The wisest choice is me not having children. No part of me wants to deal with being a father. And what kind of God would saddle people with children who have no desire for them. That seems rather vindictive for a loving God to do.

I personally do not wish to have children. I have lots of reason, mostly I do not want to pass on my horrible genetics, and watch my child suffer chronic sickness in their youth. Also: I grew up poor. I lived in a two bedroom trailer with 5 other people, and a father with a volatile temper. Never knowing where my next meal was coming from. the only clothes I got were donated, or maybe bought for me by my grandparents. I believe that If somone can't afford to feed and clothe any potential offspring they might have, and some people do not have the right temperament to be parents. It's better to remain childless if a stable home cannot be provided. My mother kept getting pregnant on purpose without consulting my father on wether he wanted to have more children. and not caring that she couldn't provide for the children she already had. really, it's a matter of common sense. I don't think god likes to see children suffer from hunger, or abuse because of poor decisions of the parents.

My grandparents had 11 kids... I think that's crazy, lol. But it's most definitely not a sin. Anybody can have as many children as they want. Some people don't want any kids at all, and that's fine too. It's a personal choice.

For me, there are some days where I want kids, and others where I don't. So i'll just do what God tells me to do.

Bottom line, it's not wrong to have more than 2 kids.

Of course not. Not everybody wants kids or should have kids.

Making children "because everyone else thinks I should", or because somebody guilted you into it is a terrible reason to.
