Most of you call yourselves a "Christian". Well, you know what? I'm not going to point fingers here. Cause if I point one finger at you, three are pointing back at me. I, call myself a "Christian". But honestly, that word has no meaning to me. I used it everyday, but it's meaning was worthless to me. What did it mean to be called a Christian? Because in the Bible, it says only a few, a handful will enter the narrow gate to the Kingdom of God. But, Christianity is the world's top religion. Besides Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism. It is practiced almost everyday by people you know, or people you meet. But then, back then, that was all Christianity was to me. A mere religion. Something to uphold to, and rely on when I commit a sin. Something to teach me the difference between right, and wrong. That, was Christianity to me. I never really understood it. It was just teachings, and understandings that I had to look up to, and hold on to. But, then my entire life changed. I finally understood what it meant to be a Christian. Being a Christian doesn't mean you're perfect. It doesn't mean you have to be a saint. It doesn't mean that you have to look good, or have all the finer things in life. No. Being a Christian, means that you acknowledge the fact that you're in fact a sinner. And that from the day you are born, until the day you die, you will never stop sinning. Why? Because you can't. We're all fallen. Yet, so many of us try to hide that fact. But, to no avail. We can hide our true selves from the world. But, from God? We both know that's not possible. Because God, He sees the heart. Not the body. Not the flesh. Not your sin. For crying out loud, He said He remembers your sins no more. So why are you confessing your sins to God, over and over again, knowing that the very next day, you'll do the exact same thing again? Yes. God said repent. But that's not the repentance He has in mind for you.
This is;
God, I know I'm a sinner. This flesh that I carry with me, it will never stop sinning. But God, I want to thank You for giving me Your son. Thank You Jesus for taking mys sins at Your baptism. Thank You for living Your life for me, for three years. Thank you for taking all that pain, brutality, beating and suffering for me. It was I who needed to die, but instead, You took my place. Jesus, I was baptized with You, into Your death. Because it's Your baptism that led to Your death. And thank You for dying. Thank You for giving up Your life for me, once and for all. Sin no longer has its power against me. Not because of what I've done, but because of what You've done for me. I died with You, and I have resurrected into a new life. I was once a sinner. Now, I'm sinless. I was once unrighteous. Now, I'm righteous. Because when I died to my old self, You gave me life. And the life that I live now, is Yours. So thank You Jesus.

That is what God is talking about. When you repent, stop talking about yourself, and the things you did. Instead, thank God, for what He did. Because you're sorry for your sins? Well, your sins, made you come to that realization that you need help. We all need help. But so very few of us admit it. And when you do sin, don't mourn, or cry, or feel condemned. God doesn't need that from you. Rejoice in the lord always. When Satan shows you who you are, through your sins, stand up to him, and thank him for showing you that you're a sinner. You're a sinner, that found salvation. Because salvation, is given to us freely. Freely we receive, so freely we shall give. Sin, has no more power. Stop being weary. Stop crying. Be happy that you're saved. Because so many people find the fact that they sin absolutely repugnant, and they try to hide it. But let me ask you this; Did Christ come for the sinner, or the saint?
Cause if you're so good, then why do you need God? And until you find the courage to admit that, whole-heartedly, you'll never find peace. You can search all you like. But that's what it takes to be a Christian. Because it's not how you start your walk with God. It's how you finish it. Like Peter said, "I fought the fight, finished the race, and kept the faith"
This life won't be easy. God has told you that through His word. But He did promise you that no weapons formed against you shall prosper. The world can't harm you no longer, if you have, and rely on Jesus. Just stop what you're doing for a few minutes, and think about it. Like I said earlier, the gate to Heaven is narrow. The gate to Hell, is wide. So, are you really going to Heaven? Because there are approximately 2 billion Christians in the world. Just because you're a Christian, or call yourself one, doesn't mean you're going to Heaven.

If the shoe fits, wear it.
I'm not condemning you. I'm simply telling you the truth. And the truth, can hurt. Not many will believe in the truth. Because a sweet lie, is so much better. Don't fall prey to the world. I've been there. Many times. And now, I have a new lease on life. This was me. So, I'm not pointing my finger at you. I'm also pointing it at myself.

(Please don't take this out of context)
God bless.

Excellent post, Elizabeth. That said, I don't think there's anything wrong with crying (just not over the small things).

Thank you guys. And no. There's nothing wrong with crying. But tears, and mourning can't help you. That's just what I'm trying to say. God bless.
