    Default God has forgotten me

I have a problem with temptation, had it for years even when I gave my life to Christ. There was multiple times that I was convicted, and shamed. There was times of repentance, but then it always came back. Well tonight, I feel so terrible. It's as if God just gave up on me. I no longer feel convicted which I heard its a sign of your salvation is gone. I am starting to doubt and fall away. I'm so scared right now I feel like I will eventually go back to the way I was in the world...lost. I prayed and prayed for help and I never got a respond. I wait and wait and its as if it's done for good. I never felt so drawn away. Everyday I read the bible...I try to pray from my heart everyday...I try to repent and display love for everyone. I don't have job, I don't go to school anymore....so I am very confused. I don't know what else to do...if I lost Him why don't I just die!!!!!!!!! I rather not exist than to live a life against Him. I'm losing hope so fast, it's making me hurt really bad. I'm such a screw up!!!!

Don't loose Hope in Christ. He knows you more than you. When you walk the Faith Life,God shows you things to correct.Nothing to be embarrassed about. If you find its not possible to discuss it with others, you just got yourself an invitation to talk to Jesus directly.I myself in my faith life feel cast down many times due to various lusts, depression, hot temper, pride etc.
Whatever the case, the situation is sinful. There is no greater sin or lesser sin.For God,it's all sin and self-pride is our greatest enemy, not satan(He escapes the moment he sense God's presence). And God loves you the same.Doesn't change when you sin more or less. But when we constantly sin,we move away from his Arms of Love.Just we need to make sincere effort to return. In course of time,he will restore you permanently.
He won't forsake. His Grace is so powerful that it will transform you fully despite the problems you face. Some times it takes time and we feel walking through dark tunnels for a long time. But don't be afraid and ashamed.Just return to Him.
And don't think you are alone whatever your problem is.Conviction comes from Holy Spirit.I pray God cleanse you from those bondage in long run and make you a strong Man of God.Keep complaining to God more.Read the parable of the godless Judge and Widow who went to him for justice, told by Jesus in the Gospel.God Loves us more.In His time he will break the chains.
The biggest problem you can make here is go to pastors or people in ministry, who doesn't know how to deal these things.
99% of the people cannot help there. It's because of their immaturity.I am glad you have the courage to speak it out.You might be amazed to hear this. You know, many people don't try to help out this because they are weak in such matters. So don't blame yourselves too much.Self condemnation is a sin.
If you think you cannot go on doing this and cheat God,then deny Christ.
If you cannot, listen to Him.He will love you the same and WILL hold close you to HIS HEART when you feel that you don't deserve it.Your honesty matters. And you repent of it,that is good.Help others when you are delivered from it.I am saying this because after years,i am getting delivered from many problems i faced because of my own disobedience and various weaknesses in the past.
God is Love and His Love when starts flowing it's like getting charged from a transformer with high voltage.Get shocked more often, despite failures. When we pray more satan cannot come close to hurt us.God will close the cracks in your armor and YOU will FIGHT for HIM.He will FIGHT for YOU where YOU are helpless.
God BlessAlso pray for the cowards who don't discuss these matters and, Pray to God so that He can Heal them and they can also start helping others with such problems with GODLY COUNSEL.Many who are cast down with these kind of overwhelming failures are Spiritual Giants, whom satan can sense very well.So he binds them through various problems, because he knows that if they AWAKEN by the Spirit of the Lord,he will get crushed and beaten up a lot. That is a mystery i understood after so many years. It used to bother me from teenage. My biggest problem is short temper.Rest follow when i loose it.Now i am cool, when i pray more. This is spiritual warfare, should be dealt with long hours of Prayer.
God is Love.May God Bless You again and make your courage many times fold to bring many to Jesus.

You and everyone else. Don't isolate. Read your Bible yes but don't think that machine reading your Bible over and over is going to stop temptation. Get away from the computer and become heavily involved with a good Christian singles group at one of more churches near you. Action creates reaction. You are 18 and should be DOING in the real world. When I was your age I was all over the Pacific Ocean in the military. I didn't have time to be tempted... lolol.

This is the reason why youngsters and even sometimes elderly people, cannot go to elderly Church people for peace and advice.Lack of Love and guidance.I dealt with it a lot and went to the point of suicide.God had to intervene. You think this is simple.
And this is not the 60s or 70s.It's the digital era. Please don't suggest if you cannot feel.
Please try considering what others go through.
At least i think you will pray for him.
    God Bless,Sir

What would be unloving is not to care enough to offer advice. You've gotten it twisted. I cared enough about him and what he's going through to attempt to identify with what he's going through and offer what I believe is advice that will help him greatly.

The rest of your post I don't really understand. Simple? What does it not being the 60's or 70's have to do with anything? Do you think we didn't have sex, porn, drugs, and rock n roll back then. We certainly did. We had everything you do now minus the cell phones and the Internet.

And call me Age. I was enlisted. Only officers are called sir.

Seriously, involving yourself in positive group activities with other genuine Christians goes a LONG way toward relieving boredom, stress, etc... and is a great buffer against temptation.

If the problem is more serious, there are self help groups and counseling available through most large churches. It's all good once you turn the corner and doing something different than what you're doing when it isn't working is often the place to start. PEACE.

Lord I ask that you comfort this young adult of yours. Lord favor him/her. Lord please place positive people in his/her life. Sometimes we just need that push, an accountability partner. Give this child of yours a sound mind and a peace within the heart, amen. ** You are not a screw up. We ALL fall short of the glory of God. I too at times felt so alone and no one cares. First you have to care for yourselve. I WANT YOU TO LOOK IN THE MIRROR AND SAY " I HAVE A PURPOSE IN LIFE, I WILL NOT LET THESE FEELINGS DISABLE ME FROM WHAT I WAS CALLED TO DO, I AM STRONG AND JESUS LOVE'S ME! P.S No need to lay down your life, Jesus Christ did so YOU may live

    Dear Age,
Sorry Age.I think ignoring problems and thinking things will work out doesn't work at all.
And this is not for an argument. There aint no positive groups when you go through rejection. If you face something like Job(Book of Job) faced and going through emotional disorders no group will help you. They will reject you.Talking from personal experiences and experiences of many people. If there was such a group, i wouldn't have lost so many years. But i am glad that when people rejected God helped.
It's not 60s or 70s because, things work digitally and things are much worse than it used to be.Today jobs and deals are made through internet. So if i need to get something,i need to use internet. But i will be glad if i can one day get rid of these cyber stuff and i am working towards it.But then we have to think of not using chat rooms/forums like this too.Is that good?Look at this site, its so beneficial. So everything has good side instead of throwing it away.
In today's world,People need to pray more.Lusts and sins of various kinds are freely available than before. There is difference. You cannot solve the problem by looking it from a far place.Jesus didn't preach and heal from clouds. He was with them.
Your area of weakness wont be the same as another person. If some one laughs at your weakness laughs at you,how will you feel. This is not to intimidate you.Don't take things lightly.Peter was not repenting when he denied Christ because of his addictions like we talk about.Still,he found it a big big trespass when he realized his mistake. He cried and repented.Know others and try to know what they go through.Loving helps. Please understand. If you don't have experience in something pray for them, not direct them. And please tell me such a group of +ve attitude if you know any.I will declare that place Heaven on earth.
People need a helping hand sometimes. Not all are alike.
Avoiding things and getting in busy with activities are good ways to get rid of many bad deeds. But if that was ok,then people spending time in prison wouldn't be able to do things good.Especially those in isolation.Take it for eg,Apostle John who spend time in isolation. He lived in the Spirit of God.It's Revelations that change people.

People cannot help sometimes when you repeatedly fall at the same time. That is where satan takes the stronghold. For the kind of weakness you mentioned, giving account to one another works a lot.But we live in a moving world.People don't stay the same.So the real remedy for those people who go through whatever addictions(not just the one you think, there are many more than you can think) or problems they face is Go to the Cross. When they get healed they pray for others and work for the release of others in such bondage, because they know the pain.Whatever the addiction, situation is same. It's bondage.
Give advises to the point. If Jesus laughed at many of the sick people including some who couldn't share in public, how would they feel?Advice in areas that you have experience and you can feel. You may be strong in dealing with lusts of various kind. Not all are. That is why we grow to the image of Christ.
Prayer and interceding HEALS a person than taking things in a simple way.Lusts of various kinds are provoked by evil spirits. You have to know more about spiritual realms. Its an enticement that leads to bondage and rare cases possession.Where prayer support and care is needed,it should be given.
Healing is faster then.Weak people need care.Lack of Love and Care leads to conflict.Look at our societies.Everybody is becoming more and more cold as time goes by.
I urge you pray for this matter and analyze it.If you feel its very simple everybody is not just one person. This is not to insult you,but please understand.Love others. We all are weak in one point or the other.Even if we reach the level of sinless pure life style in God,it still requires God's Grace to transfigure us when He returns.
    God Bless
I am not perfect, but i look at the perfect God.I replied to Crazy4GODword because i feel his pain and been through some of that.I live in the same age or same circumstances he goes through. And i wanted to assure him that God Heals.Because he is Healing me from all kind of probs.I have seen old people going through struggles in the situation you mentioned.Yes,i am talking about lust of flesh, the ugliest tool satan use against God's people. And it has got many sides.Money also come in lusts. How much are you free?We all need God till we depart form this world.

I get some of what you're saying ji. During Job-like trials we are weak and need the love, support, and empathy of others not quick-fixes. That's true. I agree with you. It's well established that love, support, and empathy actually accelerate the process of grieving toward healing.

Some of it is a generation gap, like you say. Therapy in my generation was defined as a size 13 in your posterior. lol. Sad but true. I think that numbed us in some way.

Ok, so never too late to learn. Let me try this from the heart.

Dear Lord, please protect and assist Crazy4GODword. Let him know how much you love him and how important he is both as a person and to you personally. I ask that you build a hedge of protection around his heart, mind, spirit, and soul and grant him wisdom in dealing with the 21st century attacks of the enemy.

Please bless him with positive relationships. Help him find his way to his purposes in this life. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

God never stops loving you, no matter how many times you mess up and fall away, he will always love you the same, he doesn't condemn you nor forsake you, so just believe in his never dying love for you and know that though you're not perfect, God loves you and can help transform you, God Bless
