Hi Searchlight
While I agree with what you said about it not being something that anyone should do. Mathew 10:28 says Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. THOSE is referring to other human beings and since we are human beings that means us to. God will not allow anyone or anything to snatch those who have been saved out of his hand and if someone or something could do that, that would mean that that person or that thing is more powerful than God. And God would also be a liar. The blood of Jesus covers all sins past present and future. I must say I used to believe that if you committed suicide you would go to hell. but God showed me through his infinite wisdom that not even I have the power to snatch myself from his hand.

However, what is impossible to us, it is possible to God. I have a friend that commited suicide and I pray for her soul. Maybe, until the kingdom of God comes, the souls still have a chance for happyness and peace.
nope,...no chance...its useless once the person is gone, you should have Prayed to God for Reviving that person..if it was in God's will He would have done that...
if that is so judas also might be having rights...

Sim, that is so true,! I am tempted to end it all, but, no way,! that is not the answer, it is not the end, why i am alive, I have hope, but if I opt out have no assurance I would be saved. Only God knows. I choose to live and trust God for what ever comes. But, I have a living will, and if I am a vegtible, the my wife is to "pull the plug". Hoffco
Nope, let God pull the plug..He will if the agony of your heart is great,He is a Loving God who sees the pain of heart, not outward appearance..

Suicide is the fastest way to hell. After giving up the ghost in an instant you appear before God to be Judged then if he asked you why you took away your life tell me 1 reasonable excuse that would save you from Judgement.

Re: If a Christian commits suicide, what then?
I'm here to just correct you, not trying to be mean, that bible verse is talking about Sexual immorality, just a few verses later it says that, it also says in the bible that we are forgiven for past, present and future sins (sorry I'm two weeks late.) but say if your driving down the road, you lie and you get in a car wreck a minute later and you die, you didn't have a chance to ask for forgiveness. The bible says there is no sin that is greater then the other. So, I believe it's a sin, but I also believe that you will still go to heaven if you are truly saved, I believe that you can't get "un-saved" the bible says NOTHING can separate us from God.
Is a Christian who commits the sin of suicide less a Christian than we Christians that sin? As the Bible tells us in Romans 3:10 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one". Thankfully as Christians we are saved by grace. Who of us Christian sinners have more right to the grace of God than a Christian sinner that commits suicide? Every Christian is a sinner. As we read in the Bible: "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:38-39). We must remember the same God who saved us is the same God who will keep us. Once we are saved we are always saved. Our salvation is most definitely eternally secure! This applies as well to those Christians that have commited suicide.

Suicide is an act of murder. Like killing yourself. It's a sin.. In the Ten Commandments we know one of them is "do not murder" so therefore the Christian will go to hell because he wouldn't be able to ask for forgiveness when he dies.

What did Jesus say?

Matthew 12

31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Did Jesus mean what He said that all manner of sin would be forgiven but one? Does all manner of sin include self murder? Is self murder blasphemy against the Holy Spirit? (Which is the one sin Jesus said IS the one that shall not be forgiven)
